Hey there Garrett.. I have a question for you! Do you have any picture of your wheel turned into the wheelwell? Dont you hit the firewall?

 

Sorry I've kinda been mia the last couple weeks. Under normal circumstances I only rub a little on the frame at full lock, but when wheeling I hit the firewall on occasion. I'll get some pictures either today or tomorrow.

Thanks man I really appreciate it. It definitely is a good color. Well I got the armor tech high clearance rear on, but had to take it off and send it out for powder coat. Not completely happy with the ass end of the truck though, so I'm trying to figure out what my plan is. Really just need to get it paid off first haha

 

Haha I just went through the same! I had to wait two weeks for powdercoat with an assless truck Had to drive an automatic for the time being

 

Even though you posted this a while back... thanks. Ive been clearing my firewall the last week and now ive done so much I can fit 37's but my body mount is still in the way to fit anything bigger than 35's. How come I cant see your body mount in the pic? You can really see mine!

 

Are you right on the body mount?..

 

I got back in on it as far as I could. Took more off the bottom of the mount than the top

 

Im havimg the same problem! At full steer I rub the inside lower corner with my 37's . Firewall I have plenty of room even on up-travel but I cant get passed the body mount. I think I can squeeze another almost half inch off the bottom inner corner

You can see the inside edge of the mount sticks out pretty far so im gomma try a new approach and see if I can shabe a little more

 

Thanks for the pix.. I had a hard time before I purchased my tires but American Tire manager was nice enough to order and test fit the tires without a down payment

 

Neither of you are long travel right? I don't know if you can avoid a body mount relocation without LT...

No long travel for me. Can't justify spending 5k now, knowing I want to Solid Axle in the future.

 

I'm in the process of saving. It's big purchase all at once, the money keeps burning a hole in my pocket

 

Well if you buy a LT kit ill buy it off of you once you wanna SAS you truck if i get the clearance on the mount i have plenty of steering into the firewall! Im pretty sure ill be able to tuck at lock.. my crapy factory coils even if i remove the sway bar will not flex more than a inch or two with rear stuffed while i had the 33's... need to clear the rear too i have the flares made just not finished with prep and paint.. too much $$$ when i think about it i almost wanna sell sell sell

 

Well the plan is to have it done in the next 8 months or so, but I'll keep that in mind. It's always about the money, but it's worth it in the end

 

What is your plans for tires? 35's or 37's? Ive got the perfect solution for body mount chop if youre gonna run35's but with 37's at 70% steer its close! At 85-90% im rubbing the inside corner of the mount! I can see having LT +2 or more helping big time! It pushes the wheel out without all the swing you get from the wheel spacers.... I got 1.5 but im tempted to get 2" see if it would hel or make it worst. 35" in my opinion is the way to got for optimum steer while tucked
