That would be awesome! I really appreciate it! Hopefully I'll be able to rig it up in working order.

A job here or out west?

Gas went down again.. It's crazy.

My sisters boyfriend works in Fort Mac and they're hiring where he works. He does HVAC systems I believe. Labour workers start out at 25.

I think it's something like 94 cents here. I didn't check, I do need gas really bad though, I'll have to fill up on my way home (if I make it). If I run out I'll be sour about being lazy and not getting any on my way to work..

I wouldn't doubt it. It would cost so much money to include flights.

I have no reason to live in Fort mac hahaha
Flights are a requirement for me, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were cut with the current price of oil

Exactly. Fort Mac would be kinda shitty to live in, worlds most expensive rent and from what I hear its a pretty dirty place, lots of coke heads and shit like that. I'd only fly in fly out of there, unless I landed a job where they paid living expenses, but that'd be rare and only temporary.

Everyone ive talked to said they would never live there. I work with a guy who grew up there, said hed never live there again.

Could always look for a job at one of the diamond mines, i believe your chances of getting flights is better there.

They were getting rid of the fly in/fly out long before oil started dropping. I'm sure they still can be found, but it doesn't seem as common these days.

I've been there many times, would not want to live there outside of working.

I really wanted a fly in/out job before I landed this one. I was about to start looking for work out there when all of my friends got laid off. Ah well. I guess I'll hang tight at the dairy and wait for the next big oil boom, head out west make dolla billz and wheel the rockies ahhaha

I imagine it will. I feel bad for all the people who lost jobs because of it though.

OPEC meets again in June to set their production targets. Might be a rocky few months, but it'll come around if they lower their daily production.

Lots of layoffs in Calgary. My office alone dropped 35 people out of a staff of 115 the first week of December. I'm a Geologist, as are most of my buddies in Calgary. Lots of nervous people.

And now I hide in NS waiting for the dust to settle haha, thankful I haven't been cut yet!

OPEC are just trying to shut out the Canadian oil/american shale gas. Eventually they will lower production, price will go back up and Canadian/american oil production will be profitable again.

Exactly. Its just a matter of when they feel they've accomplished their goals or proven their point, and gained back some market share (by volume).
