I guess the phrase, "you get for what you pay for" really plays out here... Welp... I hope you get everything settled with yours.

Yeah, not to big of a deal. Just another 30 min of work but I would have rather had it right the first time.

I'm with you there. So many times I questions design choice, but it is what it is. Atleast everything worked out in th end.

Heck, if I enjoy these welding classes I'm going to be taking I might try my hand and making a rear bumper. Almost an exact replica of the elite off road wrap around bumper. Probably won't happen but I always enjoy thinking about the design and how to make it.

I would interested to see that. I'm tempted to take welding classes myself to hopefully learn a thing or two. I would probably bend most of the plates to make the build easier instead of using a plasma cutter to cut every individual piece.

I'd love to! Looking to try and get a large brake in my shop this year, as it is what other shops charge it's cost prohibitive for me to have them do it. For what I've been paying a shop I can probably buy one right now so thats why I'm looking but brakes in the size I need are $35,000-75,000 depending on the brand and options.

Yeah, bending would be a lot easier. Don't have access to one and I've heard shops charge quite a bit for them to do it.

You being a shop that works with metal all the time, that would be great to see one day. A lot more could possibly be done with a larger brake.

You could get away with a 20 ton hydrolic press and then a brake from Swag Off-road. That's what my dad and I have done. It's worked out really well so far.

For sure! I've got the swag finger break, I'm on my second one, wore out the first. It's just not big enough to do more and about a foot of 3/16" plate so thats where the big equipment comes in.

That's great to hear. Can't wait to see what comes out of your shop with better equipment.

I'll also note that the rear bumper is all painted and pretty much ready to go on. Just when is the whole question.

May have taken a bit longer than expected, but the rear bumper is finally finished!

Thanks! Next for the truck is probably skid plates. Not 100% sure though... Wheeling? Later. It'll come eventually.
