New England B.S. Thread

Any of you guys looking for a couch? I have a sleeper sofa that I need to get rid of. It's in really good shape, no rips, tears, stains and has a queen size bed that pulls out of it. $100, come get it and I'll help you load it up. It's dark green. I can get pictures if you'd like. Figured I'd try here otherwise it's going on Craigslist in a couple days.

 

Fired up the snowblower for the first time since last winter. 1 pull and a little smoke and it fired up and ran perfect. Pretty pumped. Used it to move the cement snow off the driveway

 

Alex wants it for his minivan.

We only ended up with about 4 inches of snow and 1/2 inch of crust. Not hard to plow, but the trip edge was chattering like hell because there was no base layer for the shoes to slide on so it kept hooking on frozen lumps of gravel.

 

Oil change is on the to do list We only got maybe 2-3", then it turned to freezing rain and then just rain. So it was nice and heavy. Just sort of slumped out of the snowblower.

 

Pretty much what I got here. It's 55 degree now, so most of it has already melted.

 

Supposed to be "squeaky snow" cold around here for a few days. Overnight lows in the low single digits or negatives, with highs in the single digits or low teens all week. I'd better dig into the 'winter drawer' for the flannel underwear and wool sweaters...

 

Noel, is the place that you work at heated?

 

The wool probably just turns him on because, well you know, sheep.

 

Yeah. Tires store best around 60 degrees, so that's the temperature they keep the warehouse at. The office I work out of is in the warehouse, and supposedly it has its own independent heat system, but it's usually also 60 degrees. The girls in the office complain a lot, and run their little electric heaters all day. The guys just wear flannel shirts or sweaters to keep warm.

Obviously.

 

Nothing says Monday like part of my system not working..grrr

 

Worked all weekend and was pretty tired this am. My partner is back today after being out for 2 weeks due to the birth of his son. I hope it slows down alittle now with two of us here

 

How's your wife feel about that?
