What kind of temp ranges are common that kind of year in Moab? Figure a bit cold in the evenings and 80-90 daytime but just wondering.

 

Also Bob...Inu means Dog in Japanese...so it's just an Shiba although many have just called the Shiba-Inu as a single word for so long no one notices including the Japanese...just sounds weird if you know the language...

 

What does Shiba mean in Japanese? Curious to know what kind of dog he has there. ;-)

my guess would be "much" or "wow"...

sometimes we get lucky with a nice breeze to keep the temps comfortable...other times we get hammered with winds making everything in your tent orange/red

we hope for the breeze as it keeps the bugs off you better...

Hmmm, I might actually make it out this year. Haven't read the whole thread cuz its almost 40 pages, but I plan on mountain biking quite a bit while I'm there.

Anyone else into that sort of thing?

 

MT biking is awesome but I look at it like this: I can bike at home in Pa. I can't wheel shit nearly as epic as some of the trails in Moab though...

My bike stays home.

 

I used to make an annual mountain biking trip to Moab with some of my buddies, but the last time we did that was about 4 years ago.

 

Thought about renting a couple bikes for 1/2 a day.

Too much to do out there and not enough time though Would like to do some hiking in Arches as well.

 

Gotta see how much heads up they need here at work to put in for vacation time (only been here 2 months lol) but we get vacation after 6 months so hopefully it works out. Gonna be close.

the full devils garden hike is a great hike...make sure you bring enough water..by the time you hit the primitive trail at the desert floor, you hit desert sand and no shade...

delicate arch is cool, gets real busy though

fiery furnace was a blast to hike around in...
