Cruise Control 1st Gen 5VZ-FE SR5

I've found on my automatic that if the truck isn't fully in gear the cruise won't set. You have to move the selector around until it locks in place and cruise works again.

 

Even when I play with the selector, it seems like it doesn't want to work! On Tueday and Wednesday, my cruise seemed to work perfectly without doing any work to it! The rest of this week it hasn't worked at all. I have the Brake Light Switch part but I really have no clue where to start looking for it at under the dash. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Follow the pedal up to where it pivots under the dash, switch is in front of it towards the driver

 

I located it! I'll take the lower dash panel off and dig into it sometime this week!
