I agree with the dragging. We have a snow storm going on here, so hopefully everyone shows up for work. Otherwise I have 12 more to go.

 

Hate that for you cj...its cold here in SC tonight but no snow, thank god lol. i I know how it is getting stuck at work, I hope your relief shows up.

 

Hi everyone. Does everyone here tonight work in a hospital? I have to do the same thing if day shift is short staffed or doesnt show. Yes its draaaaaaagging by

 

I'm the only one here tonight. If only 1 (out of 11) shows up in the morning I'm done! We only got 2-3" last night. No biggie, but people still "call in". I guess it's their PTO's they can use them as they see fit. Personally, I'll wait til July

 

Yep, hospitals never close.

 

I am working at a prison. Hopefully we don't close anytime soon. Magically people get sick at 7am when they are to be here at 730. I don't mind people calling off, but I wish they would do it early so I could make arrangements at home.

 

Cj, you a state or a Fed? Most of ours start banging in at 6:00. The late call offs do suck especially when you make it to the gate and you get stopped and turned around. Heart breaker.

 

I mind when I have to stay. I loose my shift diff after 0600, and I've been here for 12 hours. Typically if I have to stay, I am the only one, or one of two. They dont pay me enough to stay extra in a psych unit lol.

 

And SOMEONE has to be here at all times to run it

 

I am fed. Well we had someone bang in at 515 am for a 530-130 post. So, I wasn't stuck working until 4pm I took that. 8-130 much better in my books.

 

I work in IT, internal help desk for a global company.

 

Get some interesting calls in the middle of the night?

 

We stay busy, there are 7 people on the night shift. We do get some interesting accents as we support European operations.

 

They are probably a few hours ahead of us, so can't just pass out in a corner. I used for work for vzw(tech and customer support) and the overnights were sleep time. ha ha

Now that I have a grown up job I don't sleep at work. Not worth getting fired.

 

I will say that GLYNCO WAS THE GREATEST. Yeah some how we have extras during ART.....I dunno what happened.......

Hiya night crew. Here I am, made it to 2AM before wide awake. Back on shift Tuesday night. First full 5 day set after my easy holiday schedule.

0°F outside tonight. We could use some of that snow some of you are getting.
