It is still pouring with rain here so I can't fly. So I decided I would order my new frame and motors :)

Been having a lot of fun with my Blade Nano QX. Great little quad to learn on and I can fly indoors when the weather is bad outside. Been taking it to work and flying at lunch with some coworkers who also have the Nano QX. I can see myself saving up some money to buy or maybe build a bigger quad in the future.

Got a nother little'n whipped up. Too cold (-10, to -50 with windchill) to go outside and fly at all. So i took some spare parts and threw together a 70mm indoor quad. It carries some micro fpv stuff pretty well for its size!

Not yet... ordered too late to be in the first batch... hoping it comes soon.

    Nice vids :)

I'm not a fan of TBS... not because of the aircraft but because of Trappy.

Right into the open door of my truck... LOL just a couple broken props and an antenna mount.

I am using a FrSky X8R receiver which I think is way over kill for what I am flying. And the tuned antennas on it are kinda hard to find space to mount them. How important is it to have them in a V position and their planes perpendicular to each other? I had this on it but it broke pretty easily:
    http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2300326
I keep seeing people just zip tying them to the motor arms, which seems less likely to break off in a crash.

Also I am having a heck of a time deciding what FPV setup to go with. 25mW-600mW which receiver, antenna, monitor or goggles. I know ill probably just go with a 5.8GHz system. any recommendations for the FPV set up on a QAV250?

I imagine the v mount may help the 2.4 but if you're not shooting for long range FPV (in which you'd be smart to go UHF instead) I really wouldn't worry about it... Zip tie away.

For 5.8, immersion receivers typically have the greatest sensitivity... For the 1.3 stuff, I like Lawmate.

I'd do 600mw with blue beam antennas... Monitor or goggles is up to you... I prefer monitors... If you go that route, find one made for FPV otherwise if you have a weak signal, the screen may go blue and not display video unless the signal is stronger...
