    Pics or it didn't happen.

Brisk at the house this morning.
The stiff breeze off of the lake certainly didn't help things, either.

Hey Pat welcome to the club. Like Erik said we are over due. We have done wheeling and the Ken's plus a Charlie Horse meet up so if you have any suggestions throw them out here

Hey Pat welcome. I'm sure if you stick around we will do a meet and greet soon. Someone suggested doing F1 sometime. That sounds like a great idea to me!

    Morning everyone!

So I ran across this yesterday at work. Could one of you engineering guys explain to me how this works

Rob, which part do you want explained, how the connection works?

It should just be a simple bolted connection. Either the companion flange will be threaded or there will be nuts on the backside. Based on that diagram, it looks like the flange itself is threaded (either that or they just aren't showing the nuts). Once the bolts are free, the shaft should slide free of the flange but might take some 'coaxing'.

Hahaha even one of the engineers missed it. I was taking about how does a flange with 6 studs is going to fit the one with 5 holes. :D

I did saw that but didn't think that was what you were asking. I thought it was a serious question about something you were doing to your truck. If you asked 'what's wrong with this picture', I would have had it. Trick question, I demand a recount!

The diagram clearly shows how it will work; the line for the bottom bolt goes to the outside of the flange. Clearly that ones' not meant to be threaded into the flange; it's probably a spare. :p

    Bonjour.
Welcome to the NEBST. Don't pay any attention to the plethora of mods, guns, or other assorted purchases tossed around in here or you'll go broke real fast.
Also, if you see a short angry Russian kid who drives a wagon and can't figure out when Christmas is, don't make eye contact.

Hahaha. I got that diagram from this website http://www.justanswer.com/jeep/4a0ii-jeep-liberty-front-drive-shaft-mechanically-inclined-tackle.html

It must be a Jeep thing. :)

Sorry Patrick. Had to say it. :D:D:D

Obvious fix. Hit it with a hammer. There's your solution..but if somehow not, then you have electrical gremlins on the loose. Break out the duct tape..

I've heard the Smittybilt winches are pretty good. It's got a 5 year warranty, lifetime warranty on the mechanical parts I believe, a wireless remote (even though I have in-cab controls already), and it's got an IP68 rating, so it'll work just great on my submarine.

When it gets here, I'll be sure to post pics.

I'm Russian orthodox, dick. You're so culturally insensitive

    1)- I meant the girlfriend. :rimshot::stirthepot:

2)- I live in Maine. We don't have enough diversity for me to have learned sensitivity to other people & cultures.
Plus we're not all a bunch of overly sensitive weenies up here, so we don't have to worry about being politically correct all the time. :brianr:

We know enough to wear pants up here. No naked cannonballs means that we can keep our man parts frostbite-free.

That can only do so much in your temperatures, good sir. Naked cannonball season begins April 15th here..

True, but that's why I dug out the flannel underwear this weekend. No frost on the manly vegetables.

    :jellydance:

Fuck. I need to stop eating citrus for a couple of days. Just went to the bathroom and it felt like I was peeing battery acid.
