For East Coast wet, heavy snow/ packed snow/ slush/ ice MT's are less than ideal, possibly dangerous even when siped. The tread blocks are big and flat, coupled with what is usually a pretty hard tread compound, makes for a tire that doesn't grip the road very well at all in winter conditions.

My Dad (arifleman) has them in his 02' extended cab Tacoma bed, he swears by them. He had doubts.... that was until he had to crawl in his truck bed :D

Damn Adam I gotta say the taco is looking sweet! I'm just now seeing the glass fenders and of course I love the orange additions! Looks surprisingly good with the tan  I'll be joining the Tepui club this month, cant wait to throw the new RTT on Rinzler ;)

liking that fzj80 you got. I'm torn between them and an older 4runner with a sas and other things. Have you tested the droop of it with the radius arms? Thinking it wouldn't be enough for the offroading I try to get into.

Thanks. I've been wheeling one of these since 2000 so I'm really familiar with how they perform in the rocks. The stock radius arms aren't as flexy as a 3 or 4 link but they still flex pretty well. The front end will droop more than your IFS Tacoma will so if the offroading you try to do is being done with your Tacoma, the cruiser will be more than capable of handling it.

I noticed that. Looks nice! I got the tires all mounted up to my extra set of wheels and spent the last few days painting them black. I will probably put them on tonight to start testing the fit. 285's seem to be different for everyone so I don't know what I am going to have to do as far as trimming goes.

Not sure of your age, but the sig is very reminiscent of those little car toys where you'd put a penny in the back of them (Penny Racers). Not sure if this is a coincidence, but given Adam's age....:D
