    Just picked up my '14 AC SR5 V6 with 6sp manual, Entune Plus, AW floor mats, and tow package.

    I did all my inquiries over the phone/email and only stepped into the dealership to test drive and sign paperwork on the same day. There were only about 4 of these V6 manuals that weren't the TRD within about 300 miles. I actually competitively bid the exact same truck between 3 dealers. :D

    $30,200 out the door registered in NYS

    Well there isn't an official "what did you pay for your 2015 Tacoma" thread so I will put this here.

    I got a Metallic Gray, PreRunner, 4x2, V6, double cab with tow package, etune plus, and SR5 package for $25223.81 + $599.00 Dealer fee + tax/tag. I thought it was a pretty dang good deal for a 2015. The 2014's were hard to find in what I wanted, and their prices were very similar, so why not go 2015.

    I'm enjoying it so far. Gotta get a truck mat and tonnaeu cover.

    2014 off road d/c short bed. Sticker 34845. Paid 32000 plus tax. Not a bad deal. My dealer can't keep them on the lot. The minute they come in there gone.

    Intresting very intresting...Just got back from doing my (free?) 6 month oil change and tire rotation..(Only had 3113 miles on her).
    As I was waiting(which only took 45 minutes total from my drive up time) I looked on the lot to see if they had any Tacomas. They had 4 all same color NO 4X4's No Texas edition like mine and all had MSRP of $34K plus so I guess at $29, 127 I did OK
    Just to make a point availability here in S. Louisiana still a big issue:{

    How the he'll do you guys get such good deals. I've been to a half dozen dealers and they are the most arrogant pricks around. Maybe I need to shop outside long island.

    First, don't go to a dealership unless you have a check in your hand. Do all of your negotiating online or over the phone. It is much easier and less frustrating. Plus, you can do it in your underwear in front of the TV. :D My past 2 vehicles have been purchased that way and I only set foot into the dealership to sign paperwork and drive away. Most dealerships have an internet sales department and some sort of policy where they give their "best" price up front. It will likely be a decent price, but I guarantee it isn't their best.

    Second, know exactly what you want. Not just color and model, everything. Get ahold of the pricing sheets with all the packages and options available and configure it. Go in with one or two configurations that you would be willing to buy. Stick to it.

    The trick is to do your homework and know exactly what the vehicle is worth. There are ways of getting the dealer price sheets listing their pricing and MSRP. Find the truck with the options you want and start negotiating. You can't know EXACTLY what they paid for the truck, or rather what the truck is worth to them, but you can get a pretty good idea. A good website for reference is http://www.fightingchance.com/. You can buy a price guide specifically for the vehicle model and year you are looking at, or just read his advice. Either way it's worth a read. I have already touched on a few of the points there.

    Also, timing is important. A dealer that isn't willing to budge on price at the beginning of the month may be struggling to meet their quota by the end of the month. They will be more likely to give you a better deal if *THEY* want the truck off their lot. If you go in wanting it too badly, and they aren't desperate to sell, you won't be getting a deal.

    One last point. If they're being pricks, be one right back. The way I see it, i'm going to a dealership and spending my time with a salesperson and my time is worth something. I am trying to buy a vehicle from them and there are plenty of other places I can spend my money. If they don't want to play nice and be straight up then I walk away. I went to 3 dealerships before I even sat down at a desk to talk price. When the salesman introduced himself each time I made a point to say (in a calm, non-confrontational way) "look, you either have the vehicle I want with the options I want at a price we can agree on, or you don't. Don't waste my time, because I'm not here to waste yours."

    I highly recommend getting the fighting chance pricing info for the vehicle(s) you are interested in. I know it seems like a lot of $, but if it saves you $500 negotiating it has paid for itself.

    nothing cool

    Great advice. Bought my 2011 and my wifes 2012 Scion XB over the phone. Bought my wifes Scion in Lawrence,KS (30 miles away). Scions have a "No Haggle" price but i got Katskin Leather and better wheels and tires added for no charge. I just told them that i have 4 Scion Dealerships here in Kansas City area and give me a reason to buy from them. Adding leather, wheels, and tires sold me.

    Now i have a buddy who runs the internet sales in Olathe, ks. So next time ill but a car a little closer to home.
