Out of curiosity do you guys know if the wiring harness is set up for fog lights on the Tacoma's even if they don't come with the lights stock?

Make sure they bring the silverado/Titan to throw snow in the bed.

 

yes I believe they all use the same wiring harness. behind my dash where the button for the elocker should be, I have cables to wire up the button but mine didnt' come with the elocker. take out the blank in the dash where the button should be (far left on top row) and you should have a white wire harness that's not hooked up to anything.

 

Didn't someone come in here asking about him and then flipped out when someone asked why?

 

ehh...it's kind of a touchy subject. it's not the kind of thing you want to go around telling everyone about out of respect for the family and all affected. I remember what you'er talking about and his response was kinda rude but his intentions were good. Just trying to protect the family's privacy is all.

 

I thought that was a little strange. But I don't know what is going on but it sounds serious so I'm sure it was a normal reaction

lol...no worries. I'm sure someone local to you would be happy to show you what I'm talking about. it's pretty easy. But I know this, my '99 4runner has the wires to plug the foglights in down at the bumper where they mount and as I mentioned before, in my '13 Tacoma I have the wire harness for the e-locker button for our trucks even though mine wasn't equipped with it. so chances are, you have all the wiring you already need.

probably just need a relay in the fuse panel and the button to turn them on and off in the cab. I believe all the wires are there already.

 

It wasn't Jared it was Chan who got upset. He's a good friend of Jared and just went into protect mode.

 

If what Shaunco is saying is accurate, I believe it is, nothing more than a switch. I did electronics for 20 years hooking these up would be easy. If you buy stock switch from toyota or junk yard it will all be plug and play!

 

and yeah, even if the wiring isn't there for it, it'd be easy to wire it up.

 

I forgot about the relay may need that as well. Good catch Shauncho!

If you go to that mod day I can check to see what you have and what you need to make it work.

 

I think I will pm that guy for the fogs then... They are like 160 for an ome fog setup and I know I want fogs. Also curious do you just cut out the pre existing circular area and pop those in? When looking at ome set ups, some came with these plate like pieces that fit in the whole "eye socket" if you will.
