Got my satoshi painted black! Now I'm not sure if I should paint my bumper black or color match the chrome and paint the plastic black.

Edit: sorry if I totally screwed up the picture uploading process. Since tapatalk blows now I'm learning to use photobucket haha

Same thing happened when I did a trip to CK, but 2 trucks is plenty. I'm really surprised you needed a strap, was this near the mines/ water tanks or just above that?

Erik's ride is awesome and now I can put a face to it cause we went out to Sycamore quite a few months ago. It also helps that he has the good driver mod and the skinny pedal mod.
Did you guys get that everything burger at the old mill? That burger is legit

Grabbers are worthless as it is but bald they are slicks. It is better that you strapped up cause just before those tanks is where that couple died in May. I'm sure you saw the crosses where they died and where they went off. No shame in admitting you needed help in wheeling or tried and couldn't make it. I felt bad after I candy caned my drive line at Elvis on the first obstacle and I was unable to make it up one of the others when I started hopping real bad. After 15 min and different approaches the stress I was putting on my already bent drive line was enough for me to say I'm hitting the bypass. When I was out at CK had trouble on a few of those obstacles with no locker. I don't have the droop in the rear and without a locker once you're down to one wheel, your not going anywhere. On one of those obstacles that is super rutted out I almost did some serious side panel damage. Its amazing how tame the pics make those look.

Kinda reminds me of a trip long ago to Tellico, NC. Going up Trail 4 towards Fains Ford, the ice got pretty bad. 4 low cruising up, slowly lose traction and come to a standstill. Let the tires keep spinning until they melted the ice, gained forward traction and move forward until the process repeated itself.

Connor, you're fucked. When the asshole came to Boston, they shut down the highway completely. You ain't getting to work easy.

Best part is, the dumbass decides to travel at the height of rush hour, so NO ONE gets to where they need to go

It always sucked in Atlanta, school was near Dobbins where Dubya would fly into. Traffic was extra screwy on those days.

The official itinerary is for the plane to land at 6:55 this evening. Supposedly staying at Point Hilton Squaw Peak (Northern & 51). Doors to the event open at 8AM.

Gonna suck all across the valley, but especially the 51 corridor. With ancillary effects on 17, 10, 202, 101 and spreading.

I felt fairly uncomfortable just searching for that much info :blackhelicopters::anonymous:

You're a 4x4, you would've been fine on the road and its the technical, rutted out bypasses that you most likely had to avoid (at least a few of them)
He needed the strap because he wasn't 4x4 and there was ice on the parts where you hang off a cliff.

When I went up with Rodrigo he was a stock 4x4 (manual trans) he may even be a base model and had never done any real wheeling and he did just fine as he started to learn how to climb with a manual. Jason took his LT prerunner up after the big floods and climbed a lot of the bypasses with no issues. I personally think CK is a great trail to learn how to wheel.

Its not very often we get this cold front and snow down as low as we did. It was very smart of them to strap up in ice. I'm glad that no other pre runners went. Even if they did, there are spots to turn around before it gets into the big climb.

    LOL
Great pictures man! right when i got home last night i passed out. ill post pictures at lunch today and tonight :)
there was definitely some ice. i had to hop out and lock er in. ive never driven on ice before so it was a little scary/new but it definitely was fun.

the mill is so yummy :)
also thanks for the kind words about my driving :) hehe.

i did get some slider and nice back bumper usage this trip :) thats always fun!!

it was awesome it being t shirt weather with snow on the ground! and i got some good pictures of the snow we were in :) ill post them!
those generals of yours sure were some slicks ;) hehe

its funny, i was thinking in my head if i hit ice going up hill and stopped because of it i just wouldnt let off and dig in so i wouldnt slide LOL. but it never got THAT bad.

yeah they have a fence and tons of x's made out of stakes to warn people on the turn that has the realllly far drop, i remember like 5 years back like 3 different vehicles went off it so they put those there. it sure is crazy how mellow it is right there, but claims so many. pretty crazy. im sure due to ice.

most definitely would have been fine!
last year i had a 2wd with a spindle lift and thats it 1 tire fire make it with no pulls at all.
most of the pictures you see of the harder stuff, there are easier trails around those.
