Does anyone know how I can mount a flag without drilling or gluing anything to my bed? I just need a temporary solution so that I can fly my flag a few days out of the year.

what about ratchet strapping a section of pvc tube to one of the bed sides and putting the pole in there?

Why not make a flag holder that sits across the front of the bed, 2x4s square, drill a hole in the top board and then drill the bottom board almost all the way thru to prevent the pole from scratching the bed, strap it against the front of the bed with a rachet strap, done. You can put a hose clamp on the pole below the top board to keep the flag in the truck or someone from stealing it.

I'll draw you a diagram if needed
