I have a 09 white trd sport tacoma and I would like to get it lifted and put some 33s on it. I just need help on a few things. First how much $$$ am I looking to at for a good 3inch lift. It doesn't have to be top of the line but I do want something good and reliable. My next issue is that I kno I want to get some black 17s or 18s to go on the 33s. So my question is my truck came with chrome running boards....I'm thinking about getting them powder coated black so they will match the wheels. Would that be a good look and if so how much for that? Also keep in mine that I will be lifting it more for looks than actual offroading. Any input or suggestions would be appreciated.

Check out toytec. They have good lifts for you to choose from. Even though you don't do any hard off-roading, I would go the extra mile and spend a little more on your lift since its going to be on your truck forever. Plus, you will regret getting a cheaper lift in the future. Try and stay away from spacer lifts though. Now for the bumpers, you could try and paint them black but personally, I would paint them white to match the truck. Awesome truck and nice color you chose!;)

I never thought about painting the running boards white. That might be a good idea. Also I glanced at some of the toytecs and saw one that was around $1200 and one around $700. Are you saying to go for the $1200 one?

The $1200 one should be the ultimate kit and everyone I know that has gotten that say they love it. I'm not sure what the $700 kit is though. Let me go look.

I say get the running boards painted with bed liner. That way if it's rainy it won't be as slippery, and it looks mean

I got in from milton ruben toyota in augusta ga. I was living in Lexington when I bought it and tried to deal with some of the toyota places up there but they wouldn't get right with me on that price. I actually ended up getting 09 trdsport brand new for less than what the dealer in Columbia was trying to sell me a regular sr5 package and it was a demo and had like 2k miles on it.

Oh cool, I loved living in Lexington but I moved back home (Barnwell County) for a better paying job. I see you're a Clemson fan, so what them tigers going to do tomorrow? I'm a Gamecock fan but about half my family is Clemson fans. Im glad we dont have to play yall right now cuz our kick coverage sucks. Spiller and Ford would have a field day.
