NW WA Meet / BS Thread

I'd rather sleep in a basic trailer with hard walls, a roof, and an air mattress. Almost bought a sweet one for $800 that had a drop ramp and all.
Not sure if bears tear through wood walls or not, but I don't tend to camp with the bears.

 

I know I know haha At least ill feel a bear try to start climbing the ladder and that'll give me enough time to get the shotgun out

 

Bears climb really well. They aren't zombies.

 

It would be hard to climb up a beside and canopy though

I don't keep food with me in the tent!! haha I keep all that in a cooler inside the truck. But a bear would break the ladder before getting to far up my rtt. Plus I'd wake up and hear them sniffing around.

Alright so everyone that is on the list to go next weekend I have decided that Beckler road outside of Skykomish is probably our best bet. Look it up on bing maps, it goes VERY deep with tons of side roads that I know don't have gates (as of end of last summer they didn't). Everyone okay with this? Me and Greddy are going to go scout up there this weekend. Also expanding the group to a limit of 8, after talking it over with some others. I won't be camping but whoever wants to Im sure there will be a few that will.

Tits so I'm driving to Snohomish, then from there we are driving over stevens pass?

 

Why not go from ellensburg to Leavonworth, then over the pass? You can't meet up with us in Skykomish

 

Where the hell is skyhomish and why can't I meet there? Haha

 

Skykomish is like 20 minutes (if that) from the summit of Stevens, on this side of the pass. You can just meet us there, but for those of us on this side of the mountains going up we are meeting in Monroe.

 

Ok yeah that would work. When I googled the Monroe Safeway it showed it being in snohomish lol

 

haha no, its close to Snohomish though.

 

1 more spot open on the 17th, ill take it! Gonna be hiking up stevens pass this weekend so ill do a little exploring to.
