Backed out of my parking spot at HD watching my camera display, and bumped into a truck that wasn't on my camera display. I forgot I had the truck loaded down with redwood fence material... With the damn tailgate down. Lucky, I found zero damage!

Nice. Had some guy in a sports car a month ago that I hit backing up into a spot. No camera right now. I know my lines and distances in and of my truck. I back in as the guy pulls in behind me. He parks 2 feet into my spot over the line. My hitch goes tight into his bumper/hood as I am slowly backing up.

No damage to my truck, but I peeled his hood/bumper up. I stopped as soon as it happened and felt resistance. he kept coming foreword. He got out and his vehicle was still in drive with no break applied. When I relaized he left it in drive, I pushed him out of the way and backed his car up/ That was after I snapped pics of where he was parked. SO he discloses to me that he was not even parking, that he was cutting across the parking lot through cars and parking spots.

I knew from experience that this was a no win when it came to insurance. Contributory negligence was what would happen. Meaning it was both out faults. Me for backing up and him for going foreword in a parking spot. Clearly he already admitted fault, but that was not going to mean squat. I explained the whole thing to him as I held out my insurance info. He got to thinking and says, " I think someone hit me and ran in the parking lot. I'll get my insurance to take care of this. Sorry, I'll pay more attention and use the actual lanes next time."

My way of explaining it was more aggressive and in a manner that was more of a , take this and we are both fucked, or you can file a claim and they will take care of you for free since it is built into your policy.\ Get those other mods you know you want.

What happened to you is very similar to what happened to me back in March. I was backing up into a spot and some kid came flying through the lot looking for the a spot and chose the same one I was backing into. This kid was shady though, kept trying to walk away. I got his name and a pic of his licence and tons of pics of the damage to both vehicles plus where the incident happened. Come to find out it wasn't his car, and the owner of the car kept changing his story and trying to spin it that it happened while the car was parked...nope pictures don't lie. The owner's car insurance co came out to investigate the claim and ended up finding him 100% at fault. Hence, my new ATO bumper!
So there's both sides of the coin so to speak, the ones who take ownership of their actions and the ones who don't.

They come with duel colors (two sets of main down facing leds). There is a toggle switch for off, amber, and white. The third color choice is for the halos on the front of the device. Notice the 4 small amber halos just above the temp selector. The whole unit is wired into the dash lights, so when you're parking lights or headlights are on the halos are on and the down facing lights can be turned on by the toggle switch. My color choice was amber-white-amber with the last one indicating the halo choice.

It's all in the link I posted on the last page. I'm surprised this accessory is still foreign to people. Everyone should have one or 3: Radio, glove box, and center console!

I have a motion sensor LED for my center console which is a lot less than the a flyzeye . Although I will eventually pick one up for under my radio.

☺ that'd be cool. The flyzeye have something that turns them on only when opened.
