I'd contact Toyota and ask for a summary or detail of the work that was "supposed" to be completed.

    Thank you guys,

Before asking Toyota, Iwanted to check with anybody that had the CRC done in the US if their dealer covered with CRC the whole frame.

This is Dec. 31 and I just got my truck a 2007 double cab rust treated. It looks like they coated the frame with water soluable driveway sealer. Its been over a day and it is still wet to the touch. I was wondering if anyone knows a lot about what they did. I saw on one of the threads that they use two different coatings.

I think it will dry. After 24 hours, mine was wet, and fluidlike thin oil, however after 4 days it dried like soft rubber.

Did Toyotacover your whole frame, including all of the cross members (even the one in themiddle that supports the gearbox)?

Was your frame coated at the dealership or after market? What parts of the frame were rotted away?

Dropped my truck off Sept 28 2014
got my truck back tonight Jan 5 2015
    a little over 3 months

It was dark by the time I got out of the dealer but a few obserations so far.

    1. They called me Saturday to tell me in the courtesy inspection I had 3 bulbs out and they could replace them for $18 each plus labor. I declined. When I got to the dealer they were "replacing the bulbs as a courtesy" and it would be 10 minutes. Fine I'll wait. after a hour i was wrestless and needless to say the bulbs weren't done because they lost my keys and couldn't get into my truck.

    2. Their key equipment was "down" and they couldn't cut me a new key or program a fob. They said they'd call me in a few days and I could stay in my rental. I was bulls hit and that was not acceptable. I waited over 3 months for the truck and wasn't leaving without it. My girlfriend ended up driving a hour to the dealer to bring me my extra set. I have to go back a hour to get new keys when their equipment is working. Not happy

    3. The replacement frame doesn't have the plastic plugs in all of the holes. Wasn't thrilled but the service manager claimed only trucks that get the crc coating get the plugs..... not sure about that one.

    4. On my way home my gas light was on, my radio didn't work and I had a shake in my steering wheel over 50mph. I know there was a full tank when I dropped it off because I had stopped on the way to the dealer to fill up as I wasn't expecting to have to leave it. I'm sure they had to drain it when they swapped the frame but where'd it go..... not sure what's up with the radio and had no shakes before it went in.

    5. I had the clutch replaced with everything apart for good measure. I supplied a urd stage 2 clutch and urd throw out bearing with sleeve. They agreed to do the rest of the the tob tsb by replacing the slave cylinder and pivot arm. The paperwork says I supplied the clutch and pressure plate but says they used the Toyota tsb tob .... I'm going to pull the inspection cover tomorrow to see what they used. I'm going to be pissed if they did not use the urd bearing I paid over $200 for. They did not replace the slave cylinder it's still all rusty I'm not expecting much different for the pivot arm.

    6. I found 3 loose bolts so far in my initial look under the truck in the dark with a flashlight. Going to do a more thorough check tomorrow.

    7. The dealer is going to be getting a call tomorrow on issues 1-6

Other than that it feels good to be back in my truck and out of the rental.

You said dropped it off Sept. 28th, was that when you took it in to get looked at or when they finally got the parts in? if so, just out of curiosity when did you take it in to get inspected?

I took my 2005 OR in on August 4th and had it inspected right after they released that they would be doing the limited service. They told me right then and there that the frame needed replaced, sure enough there was a hole slightly larger than golf ball size on passenger side inner fully boxed frame section. However they did not give me a rental, and I am currently still driving it that way (im sure the hole is bigger by now). I call the dealer every week to double check on parts, they have my frame in but they are missing one part that has a "undetermined" ETA on it, and they wont tell me what it is other than just a part of the service kit that is holding the whole thing up. I called toyota and filed a formal complaint, they passed me off to their "special cases" department for review and they basically said their was nothing they can do about it. Im thoroughly pissed off and cannot think of any other course of action to take to get this finished. Im just extremely tired of waiting and still driving this lawsuit waiting to happen. Is there anything you did to get it done?

That is when they inspected it, they would not let me take it after the inspection because of the liability of the hole in the frame.

To all of those who have had the frame replaced and got their trucks back, were there plugs in all of the holes in the frame or were they left open ?
