    Not any good ones...
A Blonde, a Brunette & a Redhead escape from jail and are on the run. They decide to spend the night in a farmer's barn so that they can get some sleep, but as they're getting settled the Sheriff's car pulls into the yard and the Sheriff and a deputy get out. The girls run up into the loft, but there's nothing to hide behind. The Redhead spots some sacks and says "quick, we can hide in these!" so they each climb into a sack.
The Sheriff and his Deputy search the downstairs of the barn and don't find anything, and the Sheriff sends the Deputy up to the loft to check up there. The Deputy scans the room and calls down to the Sheriff "There's just three sacks up here, Sheriff!" to which the Sheriff replies "Well, what's in them?"
So the Deputy goes over and nudges the first sack with his toe, which happens to have the Redhead in it. Thinking quickly she says "Ruff! Ruff!"
"There's just a dog in this one, Sheriff!" the Deputy calls down.
The Deputy moves on to the next sack, which has the Brunette in it, and nudges that one with his foot too. The Brunette, taking a cue from the Redhead, says "Meow!"
"This one's got a cat in it, Sheriff!" the Deputy says.
The Deputy then moves on to the last sack, the one that has the Blonde in it, & nudges that sack with his foot. Silence. He nudges it again. Nothing. He nudges it a third time, and the blonde says "Potatoes!"

Since we're stealing from other threads and on the subject, here's the new addition to my collection, finally back from the gunsmith and ready to get broken in

Does it count as stealing if you're the one who posted it in the first place?

    For tonight here, NWS says:

Partly cloudy, with a low around -14. Wind chill values as low as -38.

    Anyone got that beat?

Nah, they're only calling for a balmy -12 with a -30 wind chill for my area.

My parents are on vacation this week in Rangeley, skiing at Saddleback. They're supposed to see -26 with windchills of -48 tonight, but it doesn't count because it's not me personally.

I hear ya... I wish I could have an adjustable but didn't want to buy one just to pin it anyways. Of the fixed stocks, I like that one and it's reasonably priced.
    No idea, your call.

... a little lower for us, in the VT hills very close to the Canadian Border.

    NWS
Mostly cloudy, with a low around -20. Wind chill values as low as -41. Northwest wind 6 to 14 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

I'm actually hoping it gets a little colder. Lowest we've ever seen at home is -27, would like to get below -30 just to say so. Punish me!

-30 is pretty miserable. We hit that a few times when I was in college. Coldest was -33 without the wind chill, -55 with the wind chill. Walking to class, I've never been so bundled up in my life. The inside of the windows at our apartment froze, lots of reports of frozen pipes and most cars wouldn't start unless they had a heater or were kept in a garage.

Coldest I have been in was right at -40 in northern Maine (Caribou). Very uncomfortable just to breathe. Hairs inside your nose freeze up on your 1st breath. Went snowmobiling that day. 70-80mph + @ -40 = fringing freezing :D

Coldest I've been in was around -40 as well, but it was up in Quebec City during Carnivale a few years back. They were selling these canes full of hot mulled wine...one or two of those and you were struck by the urge to drop a few layers. On the other hand, the walk to dinner was absolutely brutal. Between the temp and the windchill it had to have been close to -80. Blech. We were very glad that our hotel had very warm indoor hot tubs.

I used to go all the time, but haven't been in a couple of years either. It's two hours on way from where I live now, and I don't get free tickets like I used to when I was living in Farmington, so...yeah. Not that often anymore.
