Speaking from experience its not 6 weeks without sex. You can actually have it within a few days when the swelling goes down. The doctor is going to tell you that you should still use birth control until he tells you it's safe. You need to pass 1 or 2 tests in a 3 month period. I waited 3 months to take 1 test. I didn't want to go into a lab once yet alone twice. I assure you if you go into test alone, its the most uncomfortable test you will ever take. If you take your wife or GF, she can only give a hand jibber. There cannot be any outside fliuds and the test has to be done within 30 min of landing in the cup.

I had the random pains for a few weeks and for no reason. I could be talking and boom it hit and it sucked. They have since gone and I have no regrets. It will be a year in April for me.
I had a good Dr in Gilbert and my insurance covered a lot of it. It still cost me about a grand though.

Compression shorts and a few bags of frozen peas to swap out. They give you a form of percocet to take for 1 week after. The first day is the worst part but I didnt have any complications. I had some friends tell the story of gigantism post op cause of complications prior so I was extra careful for 3 days.

 

I might want to talk to one of you guys on the phone before I go in. I have about 20 more questions now after reading your stories.
