What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Mounted a wall safe behind the rear seats for secure storage of meds, electronics, etc while on trips and away from the vehicle.

Thanks. I wasn't sure how well the mounting was going to go but it worked really well. Didn't really lose storage either because if I run out of room I can just throw stuff in the safe that I normally wouldn't.

 

Not sure what look I like better. Might find a used set of rings to get powder coated black. Can't wait to get these things on the Tacoma.

They sure do, but I highly recommend the wired version. It is SUPER easy to install.

 

Just picked up my wheels and tires today. Fed Ex has the lift and it should be delivered Friday. I plan to put the lift on this weekend but I may have to drive it to work a couple days before I can get it aligned. Maybe 200 miles total. Will that be an issue?

You could keep the stock tires on so that you don't wear your new ones unevenly if you are worried about it

 

No actually it was recommended to me by my mechanic. Not that it matters that much at all, but driving a little bit after the lift before alignment allows things to settle

 

the lift will settle with the stock wheels as well. then throw the new wheels on and get it aligned

 

I thought about this, Ill probably do it this way. It's going to be hard to resist putting them on though.

Got my OPT7 led bar in today so now I got a project for the weekend. I was surprised at how heavy it is. It seems very well made. Anyone mount one behind the grill with using a BAMF bar? I can't see payin that much for one when I can make something for a lot cheaper

Hey guys, not today but I finally got around to installing my Konig Countersteer Type X 17" wheels to my DCSB Taco. They are wrapped with 265-70-R17 Pirelli Scorpion ATRs. I really love the new look they give to the truck, but they do rub the back fender when fully locked. I'm on stock height and not planning to invest in aftermarket suspensions, so can someone tell me how to fix this situation without having to spend lots of money???
