I think the look looks handsome and proportional. The side resembles the previous gen Tundra before the Tundra got small-weener syndrome. The design is bolder, but not too drastically different. The Tacoma has always been a conservative-looking truck and I think they did a good job. Each time I cycle through the Motor Trend photo gallery I like it more. Can't wait to see it in a double-cab long bed pirate micah color!

Looks like there is a locking tailgate handle now, with tacoma inscribed.

I think the front end looks like crap personally. To bulky. Looks like someone smashed their thumb with a hammer, with the front end being the swollen tip.

I'm sure the new engine and interior will push sales, but if they haven't fixed any of the long lasting tacoma issues, I'm not interested.

 

I like the front end but it doesn't look "Toyota" at all.

I think the front grill would look better without the chrome surround. Just pops out too much.

 

I like the design. What's under the metal is now the big question.

I disagree.

 

This looks way better than the Colorado. Aggressive angles and not a dough ball like the Colorado. Will be more stunning in person I am sure. Haters gonna hate. It will grow on people and will continue to be segment leader. Even with Honda jumping in the game with a REAL truck and the new Frontier coming.

 

So here's what we've gathered so far:
The pics we're all looking at is the limited trim-for those that can't do the math usually there's a visual difference between that and the TRD
The lower valance air dam is removable for ground clearance
This is a new color (derr)
Now has a locking tailgate with Toyota on it and a backup camera next to it
Limited has a sunroof
Limited has the soccer mom sized wheels; not the trd again.
The rear bumper has the trailer connector integrated into it
Fenders are bigger
Projectors
Cab is bigger
At least 2 different style grilles
Might be missing some stuff

IDK. Roof line looks the same, at least the front half.
