I was just surprised because everywhere I looked it said they were all made in Korea

 

Yeah, it is a bit surprising. Korean company, I'm surprised they would go to China.

 

Nice story. I can add that to my list of reason why I will never spend another penny at LS.

LS' kids. They're obviously in their 50's now, but they have kids just as bad.

My mom grew up with his kids.

 

oh roger that. Thats sad. All the people i worked with at discount tire where the best people. I will remember them for the rest of my life.

 

The ST Maxx is going to be my next tire, probably 255/80-17. I've heard a lot of good things about them. Going to finally stray away from BFG, although I'll probably eventually put KO2's on my 5th Gen 4Runner.

 

Have you heard that the tire is quite a bit smaller than the 255/80/17 km2 ?

 

I Think it measures out to like 33.1" and the KM2 is 33.4. Not enough of a difference for me personally.

 

And my last tires were KM2s. Loved them. But I feel like all I have bought for the last several sets of tires besides one set of Toyo MTs are BFGs. Kind of want to give another tire a shot and I've heard a lot of really good things about the ST Maxx. If they don't work out, I'll go back to BFG, I don't run sets of tires for too long.

 

Lots of people on the cusp of the ST Maxx, I'm hoping we get some good reviews.

I think mounted with the truck on the ground and the tire at 40 psi , Tenighty measured his at 31 7/8 which I found kinda surprisingly short

 

How did you find the km2's in wet snow ?

 

Sure you're not thinking of the 255/75-17?

 

You're not asking me but aren't they a bit of a dud in the snow? I've always thought of KM2s as lacking in that area. No personal experience though.

I keep getting mixed answers , but in our wet coastal snow my Hankook MT's were better than the ATm's

 

I can totally see that, no bite in the ATM in wet slush.

 

I don't want to run them because 8/10 people here have them but my dad has always ran the Toyo MT. They last forever and are awesome in our snow.

 

Mixed reviews. What do you mean by wet snow? If there's a couple inches of snow on the road and I'm on my way to work, yeah I didn't think they were great. But if you're talking aired down to 10 psi snow wheeling, they did pretty well. I run a winter tire during the winter months because I go over the passes a lot and spend a lot of time in compact snow and ice, which the KM2 doesn't excel in. Probably the only thing it doesn't do well.

 

The tread blocks just don't clear themselves very well in wetter snow
