Save your old OME roof rack, looks like a perfect fit on the "all new 3rd gen." lol
Cant see rear disc, coils....Too square rear bumper, too angular tail lights...miss the round curves already.
Front and rear too choppy, not smooth as I was hopeing for..A real pig nose.. Hope this grows on me.. I am ready to buy in July..

Every Time its the same thing. Everybody hates it at first, then a couple of guys mod one and everyone falls in love with them.

The only part I like is the tailgate. What are the chances that would fit on a 2nd gen lol. Bed is exactly the same....

I think its an ok start but defininately needs some more help. Grille looks pretty meh to me, they should have recessed the front more. The fogs look alittle weird on the bumper. Rear tail lights need to be tossed and redone or after market. The cab looks nearly the same as the current ones and doesnt "flow" as well as it could. I like the size of the tires and rims on stock susp. But overall its just meh....average for me. Looks like 2015 will be a big year to buy a tacoma.

I want to know if they will continue the pro edition and how that would look.

Weird. Does not look too bad, but looks weird. It really looks like a medium facelift by a cash strapped company that is not able to afford a new model.

On one hand the current Tacoma looks great, so maybe that's good, on the other hand it feels bit dated. Can't stop thinking about some communist era cars there were produced in Easter Europe for like 25+ years well in 1990s with several facelifts that tried to make them look current, but you knew they weren't. Or like 1990s Daewoos that were heavily facelifted Opels from the 1980s.

    Kinda sad.

I've been lurking here for a while hoping to learn more about the 3rd generation Tacoma. I currently have a 2012 Raptor which I really like. However, it's not without drawbacks. Mainly, it's too big/wide to get where we like to camp (several miles down a narrow trail). The Raptor's MPG's also suck, but that's not as big an issue as it isn't a daily driver. Other little things bug me; for example the truck being pretty tall combined with tall bedsides make it difficult to get anything in/out of the bed without climbing in through the tailgate.

I'm excited to learn more about the 3rd gen TRD off road version. That may determine if I keep or sell my current truck and buy a new Tacoma.

True. True. I really care more about what's under the hood. I love the looks of the current gen, and this one isn't bad. Not a drastic change, which isn't a bad thing.

I'm not sure I'd qualify Fords' aluminum shift as something other than a major redesign.

They rolled the dice BIG. The F-series is not just the heart and soul of the identity part, but it's a huge profit maker.

This move was not a guaranteed success. This was a significant gamble, with little middle ground: huge win or decimating loss. Had they tanked the F-series with this move, there's ginormous consequences for the whole damned company.

I love the composite bed. What don't you like about it? Of all the issues with this truck I do not consider the composite a problem.

Bed lets in far too much dust with a shell/camper. The Tundra doesn't have one so I was hoping the Tacoma would go back to what the Majority of trucks have-Metal beds.

I have a shell and I get next to no dust when I go camping, which I do often.
