Well these are new bars I believe that have Bluetooth built into the bar itself. And I doubt you can control multiple bars. Maybe in the near future after this tech is common on bars they'll release software that'll support multiple connections. Would be my guess anyways. Looks promising though. But means that if you want it, you'll have to replace all your bars with ones that have it built in. Maybe they'll come out with a separate controller harness that can be wired in to ones that don't have it. Fingers crossed anyways. Till then, I'll be looking into a wireless remote. But again, not sure if it will control all my lights. Seeing as I also have multiple lights and would like to use the remote to power all of them at once.

For sure. I understood that. Was more thinking if it was Bluetooth 4.0, you could create a PAN (personal area network) and control them all in that manner. The tech is new to the bars, not new in general. Some devices have issues with generic bluetooth radios too. Like the Samsung product. Also Certain Android versions and IOS versions.

A little over 18k lumens for a 51" double row doesn't seem that impressive. Especially not for the high price tag that is likely on that thing, bluetooth or not...

Yeah I wasn't interested in those bars at all. just the fact that they have bluteooth I thought was awesome. I'm sure there'll be more implementing this to their bars before too long. Not sure how practical it'll be, seeing as you would have to pull out your phone all the time, open the app, then switch them on. But would be good if you use them for work lights. Or at parties or something showing off the strobes and stuff. Or just to scare people. lol. I like the idea of the wireless remote better. And even more so having them hooked up to my high beam switch. So yeah now that I've thought about it, don't think I'd like it myself. Certainly would not replace my bars just to have Bluetooth capability. Maybe if they had a plug in harness/controller for my current bars then I'd consider it. But I thought some might like it/could use it.

There are actually some Bluetooth enabled relay boards that can be operated via Android OS. the wifi versions can be controlled IOS or Android. the ones i have seen are not a fully done package for retail. you would have to make your own enclosure and wiring harnesses.

I did see one that could control two led strips that was a finished product. im sure it could be modified to control relays easily.

Hmm.. I've also been wondering if I can tap a relay from my alarm into my light bars. For when I activate and deactivate alarm or remote start. Because my dtrls flash a few times when I do and would like to have the led bars flash as well. Think that'd be a cool mod. But it may not work, especially with remote start since the running lights stay on until you put the key in and press the brake to deactivate the remote start timer. Hmmmmm..

So how would one use something like that controller or for my alarm, to tap into the relay? Would you run a wire and tap into the activation pin on the relay that powers the led bars?

without taking this too far off topic, most alarms nowadays just pulse the output to the parking lights circuit a few times before it powers is steady on. I think

with that controller, all you need to do is connect relay pins 85 and 86 to the controller v+ & O1(-) if you just want the controller to activate the relay and nothing else.

if you are adding the controller to an existing switched relay circuit... you would need to incorporate a diode on the positive wire to 86. ths will stop power feeding back to the controller when using a manual switch.

Hellz yeah!! Just got my 4.5" skylighter led light cannons from chas. Tested them real quick and holy crap are these things bright!!!! The throw is pretty insane. And very nice quality. Heavy duty mounts! Can't wait to get them installed. Just waiting for my cbi ditch light brackets to come!

5 pin relay too. make use of that 87a.

pac7 could be useful also. there are plenty of possibilities.

What alarm do you have>? Most Viper/ DEI products have plenty of accessory in and out for other triggers. The 59xx versions with the lcd remotes have plenty of trigger points

Nope, your right. Jumped the gun. I was looking at one of the diagrams and it was setup for a fan using 2 relays. SPST & SPDT.

It's an older avital system. Don't remember what model or anything off the top of my head. I have a downloaded manual somewheres. Have no clue about alarm systems. It was previously installed. I figured I would just use a test light and find the wire that flashes and try tapping into that. Won't get to this for a while. Just wondered if it would actually be possible. I'm sure there is a way using the right harness and relays to complete the circuit. I'lllook into it later though, when I find the time and patience to delve into it all:)
