Looks similar to what we have. Like the lights and TACOMA stamp. Not a fan of the grill. Interested to see interior and hear about the engine/suspension. Didn't see anything about this being/not being 3rd Gen yet.

Tail lights are horrid. Something about it makes me feel that it is less capable off road/more fragile than its predecessor. I don't really like it…hope performance figures prove me wrong

I wonder if the hood will have struts or hinges instead of the old support rod we now have?

I do not like the tail lights...too much white/reflective backing.

Like many have said, the flow lines from the cab to the bed are more abrupt than previous models....doesn't look right.

I do like the fact that the windshield washer nozzles have been moved, and seemingly the antenna has been incorporated elsewhere.

I can't wait to see the Sport / TRD Pro version of this truck in black, red or white.

Fugly dogshit....looks like the worst looking stupid shit from all the other brands thrown together in one place. That valance is a joke, tails look like chrome altezza ass, wheels are disgusting, grill and front end are nonsense....whole thing just a mess except for the body line and Tacoma stamp on the tailgate. Even if it does have a boxed frame and a diesel, no fuckin sale!

I didn't like the second gen when it came out but it grew on me, I didn't like the 5th gen 4runner but that grew on me as well. I'll wait until the aftermarket starts throwing parts at it before I freak out like some of you, haha.

Everyone was compaining about the 4runner new style when it came out and now people like it. People didn't like the 12+ design and now people like it. Same thing is gonna happen with this. The same ones that are complaining about it will end up liking it down the road. Same ole story in here.:sadviolin:

Agreed. It's a huge mistake. For those of you with 2nd gens, at least your resale value will stay high.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
May not look as bad with a lift and something done with the grill. At least it kept similar shaped wheel wells so you can fit some 285's in it. Oh yeah, those head lights are going to need some bhlm treatment as well.

There might be a backbone for a tough look in there....somewhere....

Apparently it is just a few bolts, so the kit is probably just a wrench.

Anything looks better with a lift and 35s. The point of this redesign should have been to make something that looks decent and gets reasonable gas mileage. Instead it looks like a hodgepodge of junk tacked on to a 2nd gen. It's the redesign by PepBoys.

I still can't believe their focus groups didn't tell them this.

at least they put an OEM tail gate lock... that's the only thing I like about it.

I am a huge fan. I love it, and I hate that color. I am concerned though, it looks like it still has rear drums. I really hope they spend $50 and put discs on the damn thing.

The interior is questionable. I can't tell if its gawdy GM like or what.

Hopefully the drivetrain vibrations are gone, and the frame will last more than 5 years. :p
