Oh and be careful about your chain length.
I have ripped off a derailleur by shortening my chain too much.
It seemed fine on the work stand, but I ripped it off on the trail. Oops.

I think adjusting the B tension helped more than the chain shortening.

Ya I'll check chain length by letting air out of shock and compressing rear suspension fully and making sure the cage still has some forward travel:)

what kind of pressure are you guys running tubeless?

just read a "trailgram tip" in MTB Action magazine and it said a good rule of thumb was rider weight /6

that is like 27.5# for me. i usually run 30/31#

seems like it would feel really squishy

What type of flats does everyone use?

I had stock, plastic Bontranger pedals and upgraded to SPD. Looking to get back on flats. Anyone use Crankbrother 5050?

I'm going to try that... It sounds about right to me.
I think you need to weigh yourself with your riding gear - including camelback with water, snacks, mobile phone etc in it.
    THEN divide by 6.

For me it depends on the conditions. When it is sloppy out I am down in the low 20s. Optimal condition riding I am in the high twenties.

I think it really depends on how wide your rim is... When I had 21mm wide rims, anything below 32 felt really unpredictable. Now that I have 29mm rims, I'm experimenting below 30 with success. The guys that run low 20s are flirting with trouble. I'm 170lbs, so that rule applies to me on my wider rims, but not the skinnier ones.

Ive been using wellgo mg-1s and they've held up pretty well. I recently picked up some dmr vaults but haven't ridden them yet.

I don't have pictures of it just yet, not entirely certain of how high quality the bike is, but I bought my first bike in eleven years. It's a Haro Calavera 27 something or other. So far I like everything on it, except the damn seat. I feel like I've had my ass beatin by a sledge hammer. My fault really, I shouldn't sit on a rocky downhill ride.

Oh, I am impressed about the hydraulic brake part of it.

Trail, comp or expert? Tektro or SRAM hydros? Must be trail or expert if the seat is issue because comp has WTB and those are decent. The sport has mechanical discs so not thinkin it's that one.

    Yeah.
Some seats are better than others, butt you need to get it adjusted right AND your butt has to get used to riding. My first ride in the spring makes my butt and neck sore until I get used to it again.

Interesting lines on that Haro, the curve on the top tube is reminiscent of older schwinn cruisers. Makes me think of the 70's bombers.

It is the Trail, with the Tektro hydros. I'm gonna go get a fork holder mount that I saw to hold it in my bed. I was found a teeny tiny sticker on the front fork this morning after taking this picture that said the front fork was meant for "leisure cross country". Yeah... About that. Haha.

It has never been an issue for me running lower pressure but the type of riding I do is mostly cross country with some aggressive single track. I am not a big Duthie fanatic although it is definitely fun.

Swapped out the Stans Crest wheelset with some handbuilt Light Bicycle 30mm carbon rims and swapped the Xfusion Trace for a Rockshox SID... An ounce or two over 25lbs..
