I'm looking at the door seams, specifically, in reference to door gaps on the previous MY. They don't trick the eye as easily. The chrome on the door handles are thin and elongated so naturally they'll make the door seem wider as well, but to my eyes it seems the rear door is as long as the front, where the other pic shows the rears on current body to be a bit shorter.

It does look better in that pic. That might be because it's dark.

It could look awesome on a black moonless night.

I could be wrong, but I don't see a fuel door on the same side or spot as the current gen.

Nevermind, just saw it. Your side by side photo confuzzled me. :anonymous:

Unlike GM, which had something of a target in the Tacoma....Toyota really didn't have much to shoot for as far as styling and performance ques from the competition. I think Toyota pretty much played it safe. If the Colorado and Canyon had never returned to the market, would people still be somewhat bitter towards the 2016 Tacoma?

I put that pic up on the Tacoma World Facebook page and people are arguing over whether the rear door is the same size now too lol.

Hmmm, I wonder if the access cab has seen a big change to the rear. Also for those saying the flow is abruptly ended at the cab and bed, it's not that bad but I bet it flows better on long bed models

I also wonder if it's expertly crafted like the first gens were...

What?... Expertly crafted? I had a 92 and 98 neither were expertly crafted while I still did like them both.

Lol, I remember of my 2007 GMC I could fit my gumboots between the cab and the box easily. No truck has been that loose since then, my old F150 and my Tacoma have about the same gap between the box and cab. If they make the gap too close i think you'd break shit when fully loaded and you're driving over anything that'd flex the frame a bit.

Some of you baffle me acting like you can see through the hood. To whatever buffoon said toyota wasn't the best anymore, you're simply lying to yourself because you don't like the new panels. You've no idea of the numbers. Go drive big 3 if you want but you best wait to see what this truck actually is.

The Toyo Elves in San Antonio are being fed Canyons, Colorados, Frontiers, Dakotas, and Rangers now. They'll be crapping excellence in no time!

I hope we see it as a 2015.5 like they started doing with the 2014 (2014.5) Camry. If the interior space has grown like I think it has, I'll be ordering as soon as I can convince the dealer to place the order.
