I'm curious. What have you heard? I know they talked about it for the 2012 model year but nothing ever happened.

Last time I read about it I heard something about above average u joint and differential failures so they weren't going to bring it to "primary markets".

So, most people seem to think the cab might be slightly bigger. Jury is out though. We find out Monday.

The more I look at this it seems the 3rd gen is making the 2nd gen look worse. The way the fenders are so odd shaped and the rear flare almost seems like its to big or long and had to be tuck under the bed.

TRD BAJA Suspension...Rims and tires, blackout badging, TRD oil filler cap, front skid plate, N-Fab step bars, GrillCraft custom upper and lower grills. K&N air filter, TRD Supercharger.

There are more differences if you look closely. The wheel well openings are slightly squared and it looks as though the only thing similar to the Gen 2 is is the cab area from the belt-line up. There are many subtle changes in fact. So this IS more of a re-design than previously thought.

We still don't know anything about the hood or tailgate hinges either.

Wheel wells are easily changeable for refresh of a same truck. however, I think you are right in that there are more subtle changes in the cab we have not seen yet.

A guy I work with just ordered a 2015 Canyon SLE. He looked at this and said "damn. They out Canyon'ed the Canyon!"

Personally, I don't think it looks that much like a Canyon. It still has its paint, and I can't see its springs.

Looks the same size in that pic. Seemingly longer because the B pillar is black and the door handles are elongated. I think you need to reference the front door to get a real comparison of the rear proportions.

Yup, looks like they're looking at the neighbors 2016 Tacoma!!!!

Anyway, I looked at pictures of the cab section of the truck with a magnifying glass, and yep...it looks bigger fer sure! :D

Old Faithful still has a loving home. She treats me well so I treat her well. I don't talk about the 2016's when I am around her.
