    Hey guys,

Originally, I wanted to buy a TRD PRO tacoma.
The price was a little steep for a Mid Size truck and the availability was scarce.
I ended up getting a 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport.

    Here is my question.
I am puzzled to what Tires size i want to go with.
I defintely want to get the TRD Pro Wheels and probably some TOYO Open Country AT II's but not quite sure of the size.
    I am leaning toward a 285 X 70 X 16 (approx 31.7 X 11.22 R16)

    I had a 2012 Tacoma with 2.5 Bilstein Shocks 5100's and it was rubbing with with 285 X 75 R17 (approx 33.8 X 11.22 R17)

Here is my next question. In the past, I went with a camburg setup performance kit. that included uniballs, arms coilovers and shocks in the back.

I like the smoothness of the stock ride however i want a little bit of a lift and possibly a tad bit bigger tires.

    Any suggestions are much appreciated.
Also, do you all recommend putting leafs on the back if you lift the front?

2.5 Fox coilovers shoxs remote reservoir with dsc. total chaos ucr. Rear deaver mini 3 pack aal with 2.5 adjustable fox shoxs.
Your 285 16s (33x11.5x16)are basically the same size as the 285 17s (33x11.5x17) the ony difference is your wheel size. Both will rub I have 285 mickys on 16" methods. With my lift some fender trimming and a BMC I have no rubbing issues. Lift is about 2.5" fox coilovers with dsc remote reservoirs, total chaos uca with uniballs. And a dever mini pack aal. If you dont wanna chop cut weld on your new truck get 265s. Oh yeah if you lift the front I recommend you lift the back too.

Myself and another are running those same wheels here in HI and do not rub with 285/75/16 KM2's. I didn't have to trim anything, just remove front mud flaps. YMMV though.

are you sure they are the same?
i thought a larger wheel was equal to a larger diameter therefore on the conversion calculator its 33 as opposed to a smaller wheel 16" which is 31..

(285x75/2540x2)+16=32.8 or approximately 33". 265s are your 31". 275s probably in the middle. Everywhere ive read tire size questions about fitting tacos. It says anything over 265 will need help to fit. Trimming, cutting, welding, lifting etc.

Nothing rubbed even before the bumper. I just got that. I trusted my friend here that has the same wheel/tire set-up and he was right. No rubbing. Full lock to full bump. I guess I got lucky.
