Has anyone done a wheelers 1.5" progressive AAL on the 2014 factory (3+1) leaf package?

    Did you remove the overload?

What setting Bilstien setting in the front did you set, with stock springs or with eibach coils?

    Pictures would be awesome thanks!

I have a 2in wheelers single AAL, kept the stock overload on my 3+1 leaf pack. 5100's set at 1.75 with stock TRD or coils, and have the perfect 1 inch of rake to the front.... im not a fan of perfectly level trucks or bro lean.

I know that this might be the wrong logic to the right person, but I will never again go with an add-a-leaf again on a Toyota leaf pack, because the stock packs suck, even when they're new. I know that it may cost more initially, but I promise if you do it right the first time with a full leaf pack, it will last longer, hold more weight whether you plan for it or not, and in the end, will cost less because you wouldn't have paid for a Band-Aid, aka add-a-leaf.

Ok. Definitely heard that before, appreciate the advice.

My truck is currently factory raked at least 1".

If I get the Dakar leaf pack, how much lift will the rear get?

I'm trying to figure out what to do with the front knowing what lift I'll get in the back...

    Front Options:

    5100 @ .85 with standard linear coils = .85"
    5100 @ 0 with Eibach = 1.6"
    5100 @ 1.75 with standard linear coils = 1.75"
    5100 @ .85 with Eibach = 2.45"
    5100 @ 2.5 with standard linear coils = 2.5"

Just want to do what is right... be 1/2" - 1" lower in the front.

I did the wheeler's 3 leaf in the back, with OME 885 springs up front and 5100s on all 4 corners. I did remove the overload spring. I think it sits with a tiny amount of rake, but to me it's perfect. I never bothered to measure anything so I'm not sure exactly how much lift I got but it aligned back to almost OE specs.

Here's the dirty run down on AAL's. Not all are created equal. As I am sure you have found very quickly. There are multiple variations. Some are sold as a full thick 1" or 1.5" single leaf. Which is not a great idea on the weak factory pack. The right way I will agree is to go with a full new spring pack. Given, however, that most people do not want to drop that sort of coin on a new set of leaf springs, the next best step which is cost effective and budget friendly is to go for a mini progressive AAL pack. The 3 additional leafs will add much better resistance and longevity to the stock pack. I went with a mini 3 leaf and retained overload for a total of 2.25" of lift.

Personally speaking. I have beat the living piss out of the truck from all the wheeling I do, and having a total of 7 leafs instead of the original 4 (mine came factory loaded with the TSB pack) has helped worlds in retaining strength and longevity out of the rear end.

I went with a Deavers F85 mini pack. It took some work to get it to work with the TSB pack, but it well worth it in the end. It does everything I ever want it to and has excellent off road and on road as well as towing manners. Best of all worlds.

The fronts are set at 0. All of the lift is coming from the springs. I removed teh overload spring from the OEM leaf pack, and installed the 1.5 inch wheelers progressive 3 leaf add a pack.

I add the the 3 leaf pack on top of my 3+1 stock leafs and left the overload in. No complaints!

How much difference does leaving the overload leaf in make? Dearth and lsutiger I love how both your trucks sit and will be doing the wheelers 3 leaf progressive as well on top of 3+1 tsb on my sport with ome 885 and billies at all four corners. Darts how have you liked those tires and rim combo?

The overload spring will add a half inch. This is the second set of of AT2 I've had. I put 265/70/17 on my 4runner and I liked them so much that I got the 285/70/17 for this Tacoma. They're one of the quietest AT tires on the highway, and they'excellent in the snow, and they don't cost much. Everyone loves my wheels when they see them in person, so I'm a fan of this setup.

Not true. The overload spring is approximately 3/4" thick or .75". If you add an AAL of 1.5" and you retain the overload you will gain an overall lift of approximately 2.25" if you have a 3+1 TSB pack. Hope this helps anyone who had the question.

Whoops. I didn't bother to measure, I had just read that back when I was doing my research. I left it out because I didn't want to be too ass high and it's pretty easy to put back in if needed. I like the way it looks without it so it stays out.

I just didn't want the pack to be too soft so I kept mine. Plus the extra height helped my 10" shock to be at a level I wanted it to be at. Lol.
