Oh I agree, I would love a 6 spd and better mpg's, engine. And I certainly love the locking tailgate and bedight and projectors and I'm sure some new bells on the inside. But in the looks department as of now I like my 15

Exactly and let's face reality. On a current up to 2015 you can make it yours. Meaning whatever mod you want is likely out there and proven to fit and work etc and you can 100% individualize it. Being the 2016 model will be Nov- December of 2015 on floor you're looking at mid to late 2016 for some bumpers, suspension etc etc.

I understand some folks want a stock truck and buy for stock looks while there are those that like myself mod the shit out of anything to have something "different" and unique to what I like something to look and feel like. People quite often I'm sure are not remembering how long it took to create some proven or good looking aftermarket components on the existing 2nd generation.

Most interesting thread on the 2016 this far is the photoshopped mods one (THIS thread) I think cause the OP is processing his thoughts same way I am, reason is that's how I look at every vehicle not just for what it is but rather (what it could be).

Right now the 2nd gens pimped with some aftermarket turn heads hard the new one outside wise it's really tough to say. We need more angles, some video and also to know if the interior and drivetrain changes are going to tip the scale. Looks wise as of now and just my opinion the existing gen kills it in looks but hey that's me maybe in a few years say 2017 there will be enough dramatic changing exterior mods to find a balance I'd be happy with..

From what i have read, and as the OFFICIAL specs havent been released yet.. they are saying a 3.5L motor and the 2.7L... Also its a small/mid size truck.. they arent out to get people for power, they are after the smaller trucks. You want power get the SC or a bigger truck like their tundra..

on the plus side im glad they come with a Projector style headlight, which intrigues me for the inside pics

Gotta say, the truck in your sig looks a lot better than the photoshopped one above it. I could actually deal with this whole facelift if there was just a lower grill with a lower hood to go with it.

I think the new design will look great with slight mods. Everyone's hating on it, maybe they're pissed that there will be something newer and better out, or maybe they just don't like change. 10 Years is a long time for the same design.

I'll take one in white, 3" instead of a 6" lift and wider stance please and thanks

    edit - and a bhlm

I trolled that exact line over at ColoradoFans. "Looks like GM has a new Tacoma to play catch-up with."

Arb front bumper, warn winch, All Pro rear bumper, OME up front, OME and All Pro Standard in Back, ARB locker, 34 x 10.5 KO2's, 17" Level 8 Trackers, and fancy single piece driveshaft.
That looks good. Now please add a bumper and sliders. One of the new 4Runner bumpers should be close.

Still laughing that it hasn't even been introduced and we're already modding it. That did not happen in 2004.
