Should i leave them under something heavy and flat to get the bubbles out or should i just leave them air out on their own?

Leave them to relax. You can also lift the decal from the backing and re apply it back to the backing. Super cold and cuter hot tweaks the backing during shipping

Plenty of heat changes from one side of our continent to the other

The instructions are fantastic, i'm sure i'll cry like a bitch the whole time because i'm a perfectionist lol.

Though i probably will not have the ability to install them until at least March, maybe April.....i sure as hell hope to have them on by May

When you remove it from the backing it will straighten out when you install it. The wet application will let you position it enough to get it perfect!
