    theres some old shit in the ceiling, but I'm going to be adding r-15 and then 1/4" plywood for a ceiling and to help hold the insulation in the bays. I also need to insulate between the attic and the garage and the gable at the outside end of the garage. the garage is basically completely uninsulated.

    There are different types but this one depicts the point they serve. The allow air to flow so you don't get rotting. And you can still add tradicional foam or fiberglass insulation.
