    and I will buy 35 m/t's as soon as my tires wear down

    or i was reading that 37'' military tires are cheaper than 35's so maybe that might be a better route

    Yup. Military 37" s are about 650 for 5 and you can get the 16.5 rims all day on eBay. That's also where my field of 2.5 tons axles are located in NC

    Those 16.5s suck unless you have double beadlocks. The tires don't like staying on the bead plus they are heavy as hell.
