Yup. New sheet metal in the engine and transmission, too.

I took my 95 Tacoma (awesome little truck btw) in for the frame recall in 07 and wasn't too upset when it didn't qualify. It still had factory stickers on the frame. My '08 was 100% rust free when I traded it in 2011. My '13 will be the same as my 95. I was my truck bi-weekly. If I'm too busy, the intervals are no longer than monthly. Washing your truck to me is just as important as changing the oil. I've always been from the Northeast US, and they use calcium on the state "highways". That said, washing your truck regularly is the best thing u can do to keep your frame in great shape. Every tacoma i've owned is a testament.

    Guys,

I just got off the phone from a dealer in Ohio...he mentioned that 2015 is the last year for the Manual Transmission... Do you think he was blowing smoke to try to get a 2015 or do you think that's realistic??

I have only heard that regular cabs will not be produced any more. I find it hard to believe that manual transmissions will not be available. Only time will tell.

It would be very disappointing if they maintained the the frame/cab of this truck but dropped the manual transmission option for the V6. I think many people would pay for a manual, even if it dinged the MPG a bit.

Who knows. There's no more single cab now. They may phase out manuals because of the mpg stipulations. One of the reasons they stopped producing the FJ. No longer meets the gas café regulations and would need a complete redesign and Toyota announce that the FJ was goin to be a one gen model. I doubt they would though cause they sell just as many manuals as autos

not only that look at the rpm to produce the torque very low!. that's what we need. I am from Venezuela and that engine is used in the FJ70 land cruiser, that engine is a workhorse and the torque in low rpm is amazing

This dealer is probably full of sh*t and just wants to sell what is on his lot (likely he has some manuals in stock) by making you believe this is the last chance to get a manual. Dealers don't necessarily get leaked information because, just like everyone else, they can't keep their mouth shut.

A different grill makes a huge difference. I'm not a fan of that style grill, but certainly gives a good idea of how different styles will look.

I like the idea just not the "look I got a tiny wang" accessories.
Lose the second roof light bar, lose the rock star-looking wheels, lose the rigidculous looking grille and the chrome mirrors and then you got a great looking truck.

And the shitty steps. Pretty much lose everything, put it back to stock and it would rock :headbang: :p:D

Stock grill is hideous in my opinion. A clean grill with a slight lift will look better than stock.

Where is that law written down? Is that buried somewhere in the back of the US Constitution? Or did you read that in a 1982 Popular Mechanics that you found in your uncle's garage?

Even if I accept that as law, this is looking like about a 25% redesign. Mmmmmaybe.
New sheetmetal and (probably) some different engine and trans options in addition to some revision of various components.

It's like I left the room, changed my clothes (including socks and underwear,) and when I came back in you said, "Holy cow, what happened to that other guy?"

Can someone photoshop this so it's parked in front of a Mall? I want to see it in its natural habitat.

Where did I say it was law? I'm just going on what automakers call a redesign so STFU. Its obviously more than 25%
