I actually made a "shackle" so to speak with holes at those centers. The shackle plates were then used to space the new center exactly 5.75" away from the exist. Just put them between the old hanger and the new one and you're golden.

Is this worth it? What would YOU pay for it?

    http://www.nc4x4.com/forum/threads/96-toyota-tacoma.157265/

It has no seats, no wheels and tires, front axle has passenger side apart, and needs a front driveshaft. I'm going wheeling tomorrow 45 min away from this truck and am considering leaving my rig at a buddies and trailering this thing back then selling my 82.

    I wouldn't pay 4500 for it...maybe 2500, maybe.

    Haha jesus!!

I'm going wheeling tomorrow in South Carolina and the tacoma is like 15min away from the park. I'm taking $4k cash with me so we'll see what happens. Only catch is how do I get 2 rigs home with a 16ft trailer...

Just wait until I go D60s... There's another 6k with tires...Might be able to sell my tires and axles for a total of 2k if I'm lucky... Hoping for 1k for my front axle when the time comes. Tires will prob be even less so maybe 800. sigh

Hey y'all quick question. I plan to 3-link my rear suspension with coil springs. However, how do you keep the coils seated so that they will not pop out while flexing? Would bumpstops, buckets, and limit straps work? Reason being is because I plan to run 33's, and limit the travel to 10 inches.

I know the benefits of coil springs over coilovers because coils will allow me to keep all of my bedspace without punching holes in my bed.

You can do that with leaf springs and new shocks.

@the end- I plan to cut the frame behind the rear wheels. That's why I'm going with coil springs

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
Why do all the work of linking the back end to limit it to 10 inches of travel? You could easily pull some big numbers. Just make some coil keepers that bolt to the bucket and coil pad.

in under 6K on my sas right now and that's an arb front locker to boot. welding the rear soon because I have a spare carrier and id rather get an atlas and professional drivelines done before I can have a selectable locker on a trailer queen.

What year? You could easily get 10 inches out of coilovers.

Wait wtf I just read all that and you don't want to go through the bed but your going to cut the bed off? why not just get it all done at one and use air shocks it's the way to go.
