There may be more than 3 speeds there, judging by the frantic shifting.

Oh my god the cabin on my 96 is horribly loud. I have to turn the radio up ridiculously loud to barely hear it. I can only spend about an hour or two before my ears start to hurt.

Need the Push button on the steering wheel like the old Edsel. They were pretty popular right?

LOL, Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler had push-button transmission controls on the dash, left of the steering column!

Yup that would definately free up some center console room/storage lol. The access cab really needs some better storage options. I hope they address that with the new model. 2 days and counting!!

I know they can't but it would be cool if Toyota dropped the 3.5L in it. Great engine in my RAV4, PLENTY of HP and pretty good MPGs.

I wonder if the new 2.0L Turbo in the new Lexus NX will make it in any Toyotas? Don't know if that would work in the Tacoma, although it makes just enough HP for it.

Most signs point to the 3.5L Direct injected engine in the Tacoma... 2 more days and you will find out.

Seems the 3.5 is only for FWD and AWD. The 4.0 is RWD and 4WD. Don't know if they can put the 3.5 in the Taco.

My Camaro is Chevy's 3.6 DI and it is a great engine. It's a little noisy due to the ticking but great HP and no problems.

I was eyeballing a 2014 AC 2.7 Tacoma but decided to wait until now to see the redesign but based on the looks I like the 2014. Maybe Monday will change my mind when we get the full reveal.

3.5 in IS350 is RWD and mounted longitudinally.

A bench seat with a standard was way better, that way you could spend a lot of time in 2nd or 4th and have your hand closer to her lady parts.

This, its already priced slightly higher than the GM twins, I bet the price won't change much, and thus don't expect much because Toyota definitely won't want to be eating into their profit margins, my guess is a reskin with some creature comforts to keep customers in the door, but same engine choices, maybe/maybe a 6 speed to squeeze out another 1-2mpg to stay competitive. Either way they currently sell every 10 year old 2nd gen not really a need to go all out but rather keep on par with GM.

^And the whole thing is weatherproof because they have to drive in the rain.

^Sure they do. Unlike F1, the Toyotas have to drive at night...
