allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
And that means you dont need a decent amount of travel? Having more wheel travel doesn't mean its going to drive like shit. If your worried about body roll put a sway bar on it. if your going to 3 link the back end you better take advantage of all the available travel otherwise it's a waste of money in my opinion.

@thekernel114- how much wheel travel in inches is good for an expedition rig. I have an 05 Tacoma access cab.

Leaf springs have no problem pulling 14-17" of travel. and 20+" of articulation. The stock leaf pack on a 2nd gen is like 8" or 9" of travel already.

I'm guessing you want to link it so you can bob the bed at the wheels like you said rather that at the shackle hangers if you were leaf sprung right?

Any particular reason you want to bob the bed so short? Most expo guys are fighting for all the bed space they can get and would never dream of bobbing it. 10" of travel doesn't seem like enough to justify the kind of departure angle you will have bobbing the bed at the wheels.

No matter if you have an expo rig or a crawler you usually want as much as you can reliably get. There are no benefits to having 10 inches of travel over 18.

@BradyT88- I plan to bob it so that it can fit in my garage easily, and can park in tighter parking spaces.

If you're building an expo rig, you're going to need all the room you can get.

Yeah the 39.5s have issues staying on the bead.

Sorry man, but i think you need to research more and re evaluate wtf you are trying to build. You want to 3 link it with coils so you can limit it to 10" allowing you to chop off the bed to fit into a garage and tight Parking spaces? That's just stupid. Build a truck or a compct car, it's an "expo rig" how much are you really planning on parking in compct spaces? And like everyone said, if you are trying to build an expo truck you want your bed space for all of the crap you need to carry to be self sustaining.

The 42's are a much better version of the 39.5s... issues with the 39.5s is they balloon up, they burp air all the time at low psi (with beadlocks) or just have the inner bead completely fall off, they chunk first trip out, and continue chunking throughout the life of the tire. Just a handful of things I've read many times.

As I said earlier though, the 42s are a much better design.

i'd love to run the 42s when I swap to tons, but they are so big haha. I've been thinking 39.5 TSL's (lots of muddy rocks here) but, I'm not sure.

    This ^^

@IDTrucks- I was thinking about having a similar set up as to this with a 3 link flatbed.

I don't see any shocks on that rig. You'll want to plan in shocks for your build or it'll be awful bouncy and you'll hit your bumps frequently on the trail.

@BradyT88- It will be like that build that I showed to you, but it will have shocks, and limit straps.

I ran a couple months without shocks. Wasn't too bad but I was on brand new leaf packs. It was getting pretty bouncy towards the end of those 2 months though. Haha
    Got ya. Just making sure.

@Bradyt88- what's the lifespan of a coil spring, shock, and limit strap setup on an expo rig?also, how durable are they?
