had friday off so i installed my kenwood 9140 and painted my grill emblem with color match paint and got some leds for my reverse, license plate, and interior lights so i would show a little more love by washing and waxing my truck this evening... not to be, some 16 year old failed to yield and met me in an intersection. never even saw the kid after the event there was a sheriff a couple cars back and saw my reaction why i saw the damage and seperated us. heres the pics of my weekend before it went to shit and after.

thanks for the comments guys i feel really lucky nobody got hurt. my 3rd brake light is not stock it is one i got off ebay, the housing is black with 5 red leds in it and a clear cover. his insurance is geico and i dont know if anyone else has delt with them but i had 3 separate phone conversations with geico reps 2 females and a male and their customer service is far beyond any i have experienced ever. after they determined it was their fault they called me and are gonna come pick up my rig on a tow truck mon, bring it to a geico endorsed collision shop( they have a geico employed adjuster that has a office at the shop), get enterprise to pick me up in my rental( which was upgraded from the standard sub-compact rental to a standard size car because the geico employee heard my drive to work was 30 mins),my truck takes priority at the collision shop because it is a geico claim, the work on my truck is warrantied for life by geico not the shop for as long as i own the truck, and when my truck is ready i can drop off the rental at the collision shop and hop in my truck and go. a very efficient operation that geico has going on and im seriously thinking of changing my insurance to them. ill post some pics hopefully soonerr than later when my baby is back in my possesion.
as far as the emblem goes i just took my time and layed on plenty of color coats the black sand pearl comes out kinda weak so becareful not to spray to close or it will run and layed on the clearcoat like no other. many light coats then one fairly heavy coat and the emblem looks flawless.

Geico doesn't defend you in an accident where the fault is debatable. I had them and will never again.

Glad to hear things are moving along. The sooner you can forget about this and get back to modding and enjoying your truck the better. Good luck.

Glad you're OK, and glad the cop was there. It's bad enough to have damage like that to your truck. It would have been worse if you'd gone to jail for assault, too.
