    I have the garbage dunlops. Tread is fine but they suck at everything but rolling.

    At full flex, you'll still rub with most lifts if you go larger than 32" (265/75/16 or similar) without making other accomodations. I suggest the tire of your choice in this size before a lift. You can always buy bigger tires after you clear the room for them. A lifted truck with shitty tires will get stuck more than a stock height truck with good rubber.

    My local DTIRE is going to give them to me for 600 out the door. Seems like a decent deal.

    You should get the lift first cuz if you buy 265s then lift you'll be wishing you had 285s

    There are savings accounts that earn interest these days? :)

    I say tires. The amount of hassle involved in doing a *proper* lift to fit 33" tires is going to chew through a lot of $$$. You could of course do a half-assed job of it, and then spend more money redoing it...

    Get the tires you mentioned.

    If you plan on doing lift later stick with about 2" of lift and don't plan on getting tires any bigger.
