Well, the key word is load. Any engine will heat up faster under load as well as get hotter. Plus I don't like waiting around in the mornings lol. Get up at the last possible snooze, long hot shower to wake TF up, and then hit the road. Bundled up anyways because it's frikkin cold so the truck cold isn't to bad. Turn heater off about 5 minutes into commute because now it's a furnace.

 

Of course! Gotta love when senior guys bump me off a scheduled holiday so they get the OT...ok I still get the full 12 for the day as holiday OT off and I get to stay at home? OK sure , the government taxes the shit out of holidays worked anyway.

Worked veterans day, pre tax it's about $1100 for 12 hours (double time and and half booya)...by the time it hits my paycheck it's about $300. That's stupid.

 

Yep ... not off in my case, but turned to defrost and around the top of the temp dial.

 

I actually just usually throw it on defrost+feet and forget about it until I realize it's hot in there and it's not blowing on me lol

 

I know this Governmental ass raping just as well. Can't wait to see how they'll tax me for working Xmas & Xmas Eve.

 

You wanna hear some bullshit? Worked New Years Eve Night. Not counted as a holiday worked. But, fucks working New Years day and that next night can show up hungover as fuck (and fucking late) and get the holiday pay. BS.

 

We were just talking about this on the job last week.....the people that work New Years Eve are the guys missing the party yet the guys working day shift on the 1st, get the $$. It's ass backwards.

 

Count me in on that group as well. Got hosed out of some quality pay because of working NYE night

 

Yea that's just F ' ed up, man. The only holiday of the entire year to not get paid for lol.

 

They should make 31 Dec, New Year's Eve, the federal holiday. But that would use some kind of logic not found amongst the folks that make those decisions.

 

What do they care, they're partying it up, who gives a crap about the minions.

Anyhoo, Caustic delivery showed up about half an hour ago, hoping the dude takes his time so I don't have to go stand out in the cold for an hour mixing water into the tank lol. One hour to go hehe!

 

Well looks like I missed out on some good talks last night. I had an optional night off but was going to work anyways but when that alarm goes off at 9pm, the bed jus felt too good. Hope everyone had a good night

 

X2 on the get rolling. I give mine 2-3min. Ultra gauge will read over 100°F within a few miles. When the engine is up to norm(285°F) there is plenty of heat, I have to back it down. Heated seat covers help to

That's what matters right? As long as no one is completely dependant on you, at the end of the day, it's all about getting you paid.
