Free Community College

So why should religious institutions fund the free college?

 

How about the concept of common good?

 

Two more years of high school, doing nothing!

 

my .02, I went to tech school for a degree,because when in HS they told me thats what u have to do. I did it,that piece of paper is still in the envelope they gave it to me in.NO employer ever ask to see it.(WORTHLESS) MY best friend since grade school started the same tech school at the same time after 6 months we both agreed this school is not teaching us sh1t,he left i stayed both got jobs,his job lead to the purchase of the business he worked at. He does very well for himself,makes more than me,doesn't have a fancy piece of paper.JUST SAYIN.btw still still my best friend.
THE WORLD NEEDS WORKER,,, not everyone can be the BOSS,stop having every kid thinking he is going to be the boss.
How about we teach kids in1st-12th grades instead of pushing them through and letting them graduate at DUMD AS*es with no common sense.

Skilled workers require training for their field too

 

Yes they do, but to require an AS degree for eleigibility for an apprentice ship is a waste.

 

Churches already do most of that ......to burden them to pay for schooling is silly thinking.

 

Please explain to me why not charging churches, which have become very political, property tax is for the common good of all the citizens? It is good for the church members who avoid paying taxes on the property, but how about for anyone who does NOT attend that particular church?

 

The taxation of religious institutions and whether they should share the burden has what to do with free community college again?

 

Simply comparing the common good between educating our children and giving political religious organizations a free ride...I maintain that education is a common good, while subsidizing intolerant and bigoted religious groups isn't.

Who is requiring that though ? From the reading I was doing peeviously , it appears most trades apprenticeship programs require a HS diploma or GED

But the minute a preacher, minister, priest, rabbi, shaman discusses a single issue about laws, politics, abortion rights or anything else in the political range, all tax exempt status should be gone. You want to explain to me why a group protesting about a law previously decided by the supreme court should get a religious exemption on property taxes?

 

I was just sayin there is a ton of collage grades,working in jobs below their education and have to payback school loans they cant afford because it has been beatin into their brains U HAVE TO GO TO COLLAGE.So now we are going to send them to comm collage for free so they can not get a job in what they went to school for.Just the way i see it.

You are correct a preacher has to watch what he says because there are those who like to jump all over what you are arguing for. Also a "group" protesting about a law is just that a "group".
