I actually wired it up and tested it out tonight. Huge difference. Tons of light output. Unlike the behind the grill ones, the roof light bar has some down sides though. It's noisy in the wind and if my hood was clean glare may be an issue. I'm going to try some sound deadening stuff on the roof and hopefully that'll make it a little easier on the ears.... also going to do the rest of the cab to help with road noise from the more aggressive tires.

Edit: realized I didn't really answer your question. Install was really simple. Just a couple quick bolts to mount it.

I gave up on the roof light bar for now. The noise was driving me crazy and I couldn't get it sorted out. I'm thinking about a PrinSu roof rack and mounting the light bar on top of that... then I could move it around more to toy with the harmonic sound; plus, more places to put stuff!

I got a black fairlead and some LED interior lights in the mail today!

Had a fantastic idea today! Decided that I didn't like the flat black paint I used on my switch panel. There were too many different blacks. Soo... I wrapped it in some leather (err.. vinyl) that matches my Clazzios. I like it!

Also got this other switch panel with plans to put it in the sunglasses holder spot. So many switches!

Got the LED interior bulbs in yesterday. Super simple 5 minute mod. I like the colour a lot better and the map light output is improved a lot, but the dome light output could be better. It's just a cheap set of bulbs I got an ebay so I wasn't expecting much. I might look for a better dome light bulb some time, but I'm really not that worried about it. I'll try to remember to take a pic next time I'm in the truck at night.

Installed my 4x Innovations IFS skid today. Ran out of time before I got to the transmission skid, and I need a new Y pipe before I can install the transfer case skid, but it's a start.

Started BHLM... but for my light bar! I took it apart, removed all the projector bits, taped off the parts that obviously needed to be reflective and painted the surrounds with Krylon Fusion (same stuff I used on my headlights). I scratched the fresh paint on one of them, so currently waiting for my re-paint job to dry before I can finish reassembly. I think it looks pretty good so far though!

Also stumbled upon some reviews of Hutchinson beadlock rims. I really liked the repurposed military humvee rims (16.5's) with the military take off 37's... but now I'm thinking about a set of these 17's so I can run a wider selection of tires. Sure are pricey though...

Something terrible happened this weekend. There I was, minding my own business, backing out of my parking stall at the grocery store, when all of the sudden a wild shopping cart appeared! My poor tail light suffered a critical blow, and my ego took an even bigger one.

I feel like a fool. I went home and looked at new ones online, but a set of aftermarket ones was about the same price as a replacement OEM lens. I ordered a set that look pretty similar to stock but are black instead of that red chrome. Hoping to get them replaced ASAP so I can stop looking at it and feeling bad.

Then I checked the mail and my new soldering gun was here! My cheapo soldering iron was not doing the trick, so I went to the other extreme and got this 260W beast. Looking forward to wiring some things soon! (Yeah, been saying that for awhile, but one day it'll actually happen)

Last but not least, I finished the BHLM for the 50" light bar. If you get up close you can see the imperfections in my paint job and I probably could have done a better job taping the cones off neatly, but from a normal viewing distance I think it looks awesome. Hopefully it fits in a little better on the black truck now; I wasn't digging how shiny it was before.

Oh. Got a quote on some Hutchinson bead locks too. I'm still waiting on performance review/year end bonus time... one of the partners has been out of town and he's holding things up. When they finally get around to that, I'll probably pull the trigger on the wheels

Ordered a Prinsu roof rack. Hoping that mounting the light bar on top of that will give me more ability to move it around and find a position that doesn't make that harmonic sound in the wind. Also, more room to put stuffs.

If it's UPS , DHL or Fed Ex , prepare yourself for a big COD brokerage charge

I get a lot of things DHL and FedEx that make it to me without any big brokerage fees. UPS doesn't seem to be commonly used by people I buy from. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I bought some Ridgid LED's with the " free shipping to Canada " deal , I asked them to be shipped USPS , they ended up getting shipped UPS , the lights were $276 and the COD charge for GST and Brokerage was $92
