Lift installed...ended up with 4 inches of lift

Put my Toytec lift on yesterday. 2 inch add a leaf in the rear and 3 inch lift in front with Toytec springs and Biltstein5100. Ended up with 3inchlift in rear and 4 inches in front. Hope it settles down some. Tested the articulation on some terraces in the field and didn't see or hear any binding or interference.

 

What did you set your Billies at? what was the height you were going for? If you set at 0 with the Toyotec 3 you should be at 3 but if you set the billies up higher you will be higher obviously..

 

Is your spring perch upside down

 

Spring perch is set correct according to the pictures. I set the clip at .85. Others said you get 3 inches at .85. I'll see how it settled after a week. I may move the clip to 0 if it don't settle down to 3

 

I see everyone talk of the billies being set at a particular adjustment and I must be missing something. I just put my toytec lift in yesterday and the only adjustment I see is the the c clip adjustment.... I bought the 0510 kit

 

What springs are you using? Eibach offers 2 different ones if that is what you are using?

Remeasured after putting 100 miles on the truck since yesterday and it has settled 3/4 of an inch. So hopefully after it fully settles it will be right at 3 inches of lift.

 

do you have aftermarket UCA's... and have you gotten it aligned?

 

Do you mean upper a arms? No I don't have any. I have an appointment Saturday to get it aligned.

 

Upper Control Arms = UCA. If you are at 3 inch you are gonna need them. Post up your alignment specs after it gets done. Did you do extensive research prior to lifting?

I'm at 23.5 passenger front, 23 1/4 driver front. Rears at 24.

 

That's a 3in lift then I was 20 3/8 to 20 1/4 stock

Contrary to popular belief you do. I've had billies at .85 with Eibach coils for over a few years now, which has given me a little over 3 inches lift, like the gentlemen above. No problem with alignment specs, or any abnormal wear on ball joints or bushings from having over 3" on factory UCA's. Going above it, yeah you're gonna need aftermarket UCA's. I think you're fine.

Correct, I'm classifying upgrading tires to an overall height as well. I don't know about the OP's tire size.

 

The suspension geometry with respect to getting a good alignment with stock UCA's doesn't change with tire size
