So I usually park in a parking garage but during football games we have to park in a parking lot so visitors can park in the garage. Today I went taco bell and when I left the parking lot I noticed a truck with his exhaust dangling on the ground and another truck sittin on its rim because the tire had been possibly slashed. I didn't think much of it so I didn't drive around the rest of the lot to see if other vehicles had been damaged. Then later I got in my truck to go home for the weekend and when I was on the highway I looked in the mirror to change lanes and I noticed my mirror was nowhere to be found. I took the next exit and checked out my truck. Theres no damage or scratches but my passenger mirror is gone. The plastic molding around the mirror is cracked and half gone and it looks like someone bashed my mirror off only the screws are left. It could be a coincidence but it seems someone at my school has a grudge with trucks and started vandalizing them. This really pisses me off.

man that sucks. i recently went to a drag race at the local raceway. its out in the middle of nowhere, you have to park in a cornfield. well about 7000 people were there. when i got to my truck after it was over my passenger front window has been busted out and my gf's purse was taken. we went to the sheriff's car, turns ou NINE other trucks, all lifted all newer models got broken into that night. id say someone had a grudge or was jealous that night too

So with an Engine Kill Alarm, there is no way it can be keyed, tires slashed, mirror smashed off with a bat or be subjected to any other kind of vandalism? Just want to understand how great this alarm is...do tell.

not quite. the engine kill pretty much kills the engine within 30 seconds i believe after it is started without the keyless pad button thingy. there really is no way to stop someone from vandalizing your vehicle completely. you can get the proximity sensor which gives a chirp when you get too close, then once you get within X distance the alarm sounds. some would be scared away. but if someone is determined to vandalize your truck, they will do it

I was being sarcastic to his comment about "no one can touch my truck". I forgot the little smiley to drive that point home. Being "determined" is exactly what I was trying to bring to light for this naive lad.

I used to live in southern Ohio, and still have family there, so when we drive up there, we go right up 35 by the raceway. It is out in the middle of nowhere.
