Its not what you paid, we are talking MSRP. I paid 32k for my double cab trd sport longbed but the sticker was almost 34k and most dealers don't negotiate on these trucks as I'm sure you know. I guarantee they up the MSRP, its simple business why would you add cost to your production and not pass it on to the consumer especially when you already sell every single one of your current models.

for sure, jersey is a nightmare, i drove into pa 4 hours for mine. but still only $1400 off? GM and other brands take $3-5k off theirs, I know I know its a toyota but it will be the same as now, $1500 off if your lucky on an increased msrp of lets say 35-36k for a trd equivalent to now. but rightfully so it looks like a lot of nice little extras to the current gen.

Those incentives gm gives for their vehicles is why they depreciate so quick. No incentives for tacomas is good for us who buy new. They'll hold their value better.

I'm sure price will go up a bit, but i don't think they'll be as high as 40. An offroad tundra is selling for $39,000 at that same dealer I linked to.

I just hope it stays a true "midsize" . If the initial thoughts are correct it appears to be longer. The biggest draw for me is to have a truck big enough to haul my stuff but small enough to park in my garage or in a parking lot or drive down a trail. I would hope they don't increase the size so much it forces us into a tacoma looking tundra .

ya thats what will be interesting toyota won't want to cut into the tundra. But I wouldn't be surprised to see $38k for a fully optioned limited. They had no issues selling TRD pros for that and people bought em. Fully optioned GM twins are that price too.

I'm really hoping to be able to get a 4x4 TRD Sport long bed for under $35,000

I'd like to say hopefully you will, but I wouldn't hold my breath, maybe close. My 2015 4x4 TRD Sport longbed was $33.8k MSRP, I bet that same truck in 2016 will be $35-36k. Toyota's gotta make up that extra money they put into the new tacoma's somewhere.

Pretty sure I heard the mark up on the 2015 F150s was about $3000-$3500 over previous gen so I'm thinking it will be a similar markup on these.

Let's hope it's not much longer. My dclb is almost too long. Lol

I agree the limited will probably be close to $38.

You might be in luck though since they don't want to dig too much into the tundra's pricing and a loaded up GM twin is right at 38-39k.

The f150s changed over to aluminum which really drove the price up on those trucks

yep, but they'll sell a shitload of them. can't wait for my dad to be bored/done with his 2014 Raptor so I can buy it off him at a deal.

Looks nice. All of the changes I'm seeing for 2016 make me think Toyota has really listened to the fans and critics. Little things, like I see the center console opens the right way now. Looks like better front visibility as well.

That sucks. The A-pillar handle is very useful, especially after the truck is lifted.

Looks like the E-brake handle is now between the driver's seat and center console, like the FJ and Land Cruiser Prado. It's more drifting-friendly. :D

I hope the manual ebrake still comes out of the dash. They have had that forever!
