Installed the valvebody today and man the difference is night and day. If your like me and notice little things you'll notice the difference on your first normal drive.

Normal driving.... Shifting does not feel like a luxury car but is quick! It's not harsh at all but noticeable. Will not hurt or irritate passengers.

Highway driving 50mph - cruising speed is normal, but when I go WOT, it drops into gear and just keeps pulling and it pulls harddddd. Shifts are again quick and very sharp.

From dead stop..... Didn't get to do it yet since there's heavy traffic. Will do it soon though.

Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. Dave from level ten was great to work with and always followed through. Kudos to them.

    Some photos during install.

    Before removing valvebody

    Afte removal.

As u can see only two items came off that was behind the valvebody. The infamous ball check valve with the tiny spring and the smaller springs/piston. I used quite a lot of trans assembly lube to keep them in place but VERY LITTLE trans assembly lube was needed out of the whole tub I purchased(16oz). It was very helpful on using it for the pan gasket so it would stay in place as well.

Forgot to take photos of the one they sent. Install was pretty easy too. Just take your time as lots of fluid will come out. Make sure you have a pan to collect the oil because it will be constantly dripping. From the start of draining the pan and even to the install of the new one.

I did a few runs today starting from a dig and what a BIG difference! When changing gears, the delay isn't there like it was before and will not hang in the high rpm range like it did. . It shifts a lot quicker going from 1st 2nd and 3rd gear. It seems to pull even harder and the transitions are a lot quicker. I'm glad I did this upgrade and would recommend this mod to anyone! For those who do regular driving and especially those who are boosted with a SC or Turbo.

How long did it take for them to deliver? If I recall what you wrote correctly, you have to pull the VB off to get a number off of It to give them and then wait for them to make or ship the new part?

The spare one I bought ended up not being used. When I got it, the connectors for the solenoids were broken on arrival. So I filed a claim with the post office and was able to get 90% of my money back. Not knowing there were different valve bodies I had already ordered it. So it wasn't a total loss. So I have a valvebody just sitting on my work bench lol.

The one I did with level ten was a core exchange. So I ended up just draining the pan, removing the pan and filter, and took a photo of the id and emailed the photo of the id to them so they could send the correct one for my transmission. Core exchange is $500. Just sent it out tonight to them and once they receive it, they will credit me back the $500.

Valve body does not have to be removed. You just have to remove the 4 bolts holding the filter attached to the valve body and the ID # is located behind the filter.
No more yet. I will soon though. The road work in my area is nuts right now so there's 5-0 everywhere.

Sweet can't wait for the video. Definitely will get vb upgrade eventually if not soon. I've added more weight to my truck so you can feel good about your turbo taco blowing me away.

Shoots. Just let me know what I gotta get and how much. Though I'm sure there's got to be more guys locally that want to upgrade their valve body once they see it in action.

Would it work in a NA setup? I'd do it if I could afford it but no way that's happening right now. Then get the supercharger later. Learning some stuff going through your build. So I thought I'd ask.

I'm sure it would help and will cure the shifting issues that some were having. If anything shoot them an email cause they will ask what mods are done and what your plans are for the future. They answered all my questions for me.

    Here's some options.

Option one....the core exchange if you don't mind draining/dropping pan/ and refilling trans oil twice. I reused mines the first time and put new trans oil with the valve body from level ten. Drained twice, refill twice.

option two... Remove valvebody and send it in to get exchanged(if in stock) or have yours worked on. Drain once, refill once.

Option three... There's a valvebody kit for under $200 where you can mod the valvebody as a DIYer
    http://www.levelten.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=TOY-JA210-5000SK

With this kit it includes everything needed to mod the valvebody. A guy on xru did this with his and with good results. It's cheaper but I wasn't comfortable doing it since It was uncharted territory for me. But according to that guy, he said it was fairly easy and that the instructions are well written and easy to follow. I would probably do this route since I saw that guys thread.
Fluid is drained once and refilled once.

    Here's your options.

I recommend you change your filter and get a new gasket as well
