I dont like how the seat belts have a hard time recoiling and you have to help it get back in sometimes.

Leaf springs. Not heavy duty enough from the factory. Hauling 500 lbs shouldn't have you driving ass down.

Front wheel bearings on the 4x's and Prerunner's. No one has ever done one of these and not been pissed off at some point, esp if they torqued them correctly and used their own presswork.

Inability to stop people from staring when you drive down the road. Man, haters gonna hate, hate, hate.

Not a big fan of having only a CD player in my 2007. It's a 2007, not last century. Who uses CD's anymore? Oh wait, I do now.

Crappy rear leaf springs, knowing that Toyota still hasn't figured out how to keep the frames from rotting, V6 engine 100% unchanged since 2005.

What I don't like is seeing a lot of pictures of the rear of a Stealerships with Tacoma's waiting in the frame Graveyard to be fixed. Also don't like the fact that I have had a 1998, 2001, 2005, 2010, and a 2015. And they still have rotting frames, poor wheel bearings. Non heated mirrors. Sad that the Tacoma is so popular and Toyota knows it and won't fix any of the same issues on the second gen that people have been dealing with since 2005. From my 2010 I went to a Jetta TDI so I was away for a few years. But I would have thought Toyota would have given two shits about their buyers and fixed these things. If I would have actually done more research on the frames I would not have bought another Tacoma. And from what I have read Toyota knows about the wheel bearing issue, but does not warranty it when it fails no matter what the mileage. And now the 2016 is coming out, lets see if Toyota will still be using the same rotting frames, garbage wheel bearings, and as usual not giving a fuck about it's consumers

iPods were not popular yet, and I still do use CDs :)

I can't argue with the leaf springs but I don't haul a lot so meh

Also there have been a few threads created with this same title. search next time and what I don't like? whiners :crapstorm:

Why are you arguing at all? This wasn't a discussion thread. This is ONLY a bitch about what you don't like thread. You went out of your way to come into a complaint thread to complain about complainers.

I wish it would get 27/30 mpg like my brothers 85 taco does and that's after its gone 387k untouched miles except for oil changes and tires

what I don't like is we both have the 2.4 engine yet I only get 19/21 mpg in mine

Fix for this one. Buy a Jabra Cruiser (cruzer, can't remember). It's a bluetooth/handsfree/fm broadcaster. Theyre maybe $20 on ebay, links to your phone by bluetooth and then broadcasts an FM station so you can stream your music etc from pandora/slacker/whatever.

I used one for years before I put in a dvd/bluetooth player. I almost threw it out after that. Then I got the taco and back to CD player with it, spent a few hours in my shop until I found it and am back to using it several hours a day. It does take an intermediate step, you have to turn it on when you get in the truck, after that it's off to the races.

    Your brother's '85 isn't a Tacoma.

Your 2.4L has considerably more horsepower, and decent more torque, than the 22RE that's in your brother's truck.

Not to mention your Tacoma rides a helluva lot better.

uncomfortable seats, shit frame, shit springs. I do love the overall simplicity of my '04 though!! I've owned some pretty high end trucks over the years and I love this little woods crawling, compact bruiser!

    • Rough ride (possibly will be fixing soon)
    • No storage space inside the truck
    • No cruise control
    • Bad gas mileage/small tank

I dislike the mpg and the long ass antennae that broke off. I dont like my chrome grill and bumpers either. Everything else is great, 2004 with 125k miles with no issues
