House update ......... Got a living room and kitchen, kinda .....

 

Are you going to make that Island with the sink into a bar?

 

The sink isn't in the bar. We designed it that way. It's just a bar. The top granite piece will hangover about 7" off the back for stools to be able to go there. The original design had the kitchen in a U shape and without that gap in between the now island. We moved the back kitchen wall back 1' and the wall to the left of the kitchen out 1" then separated the island. We changed almost everything in the house from the original plan. The builders are actually using our kitchen design and master bath design calling it the "S" model for Sarah. Haha

Looks nice. I hope they didn't charge you guys too much extra since they are using Sarah's ideas as another model. When is it going to be finished?

The change to the island was no charge but we had to make the kitchen wider both ways by moving each wall out 1' so to do that was something like 2k. But it also gave us more sq footage and made one of the bedrooms 1' wider. Sarah drew the house on her CAD program and did all the alterations to get the dimensions we wanted. We kept the island relatively small by moving the sink and dishwasher to the right wall and then the stove and fridge are on the back wall. The fridge we bought has French doors up top and a bottom pull out freezer so we should have plenty of room between the doors and island. We also moved the living room wall back 2'. The master bedroom is behind that wall by the stairs so we made it 2' smaller but wanted more room in the living room area. We also moved the stairs wall back 2' to show more steps and railing and so it would still be flush with the wall. It opens up the room more.

Right now closing date is Feb. 6. I don't know if it will make that but it will be close. I want it to happen sooner then later so we can be settled in the house before taking the LBL trip

 

So I traded the rzr today....

1997 Jeep TJ- 133k miles, D30/D44 with 3.55 gears, 5spd manual, bumpers front and rear, DD head unit, TomTom built in, upgraded speakers, 4" lift, 35's, hard top, etc. and he added boot. I'm a lot happier than I was with the rzr. It just didn't go like my old jeep did.

 

Gents, thanks to Levi, we got the sliders welded on and after a week of looking at the ultraguauge in the box, I decided to hook it up and run the wires behind everything. Here are the results:

 

No need. Tires are here and they were on for a short amount of time. I've gotta order spacers I'm rubbing in the uca pretty good. Zack saw the rub marks tonight. They will be back on as soon as I order the spacers and they are here

 

That house living room looks similar to your current one Gid. You got a snake room in that bish?

Well that didn't take long. Good job dude. Haha man I bet that thing is a turd with 3.55s! Is it open/open? That's really low miles for a 97. I'm guessing it runs strong?

Yeah it is similar. The layout as far as the back door, window, fireplace, and master bedroom is identical. The wall separating the kitchen isn't there and it's all 12' ceilings so it's really big and open. And I'm undecided on where my reptile room will be. There's 2 bedrooms downstairs, one of which is obviously Lucas', and there's a bonus room upstairs that's about 450 sq ft with a 8' dormer and full size window that we added. I'm not sure what to do up there but I could build a badass snake cage. I been wanting to build one like the one we built at my mom's house. It went to the ceiling, was 12' x 4' with a walk in door and the whole face was plexiglass. Of coarse we keep a 16' Burmese python in there so maybe not a cage that big but something cool like that.

Thanks man, I love it. Super clean and not a scratch on it!....yet. It's open open for now, but my buddy is selling me his old front locker and upgraded steering for $150. I'll lock the front first, then put chromoly shafts in the rear and lock it. It runs great. No problems at all, and I haven't gotten on it to see how it really is on 3.55's, but I'll see later this week. I'm currently learning how to drive 5spd a little better, but I still haven't stalled it once! Haha I'm trying to get it tagged and insurance today.

 

Oh, your old jeep was an auto? I just assume all older jeeps are sticks. Haha
